My girlfriend and I are both from Catholic families but neither of us practice or are religious at all.

When we get married we would like a civil ceremony but no one in either of our families have ever got married anywhere other than a Catholic church. Should we get married in the church just to keep everyone happy? Its not what either of us want and would be pretending, but we dont want to upset our families.

my boyfriend and i have been going out for a month and a couple of weeks, he asked me if i was a virgin (i am) so i said yes, i asked him and he said yes, too. however the problem stems from his best friend who is alsomy best friend, he told me, that my boyfriend is lying and that he had sex with three girls, severals times, but i asked him, r u sure ur a virgin, he still insists that he is, but i know that my best friend would not lie. what do i do, so i stay with him, do i play with his head to try to get him to tell the truth. please help me.

I'm going to propose to my girlfriend in 2 weeks. I'm taking her to the Butchard Gardens in Victoria, BC, Canada. I just haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to do it or what I'm going say. Any ideas? Also, if anyone has ever been to the Butchard Gardens, do you know of a good spot to do it?

Okay, my boyfriend of two years showed me the engagement ring he wants to give to me. Its a family heirloom and its equals a carat in diamonds, but I don't like it at all. Its hideous, its not me at all, and its nothing I want to wear for the rest of my life. I think I kind of hurt his feelings when I told him I didn't like it that much but he kind of hurt mine by not putting thought into it and getting a ring that was me. Should I take the ring that I don't like or wait for him to get me a new one?

By the way, by not taking this ring I'm not saying I don't want to marry him. He didn't really propose, he just showed me the ring.
