Are you invited to the wedding? If not, then you don't have to buy them anything. If you are, put some money in a card and call it a day! I don't like stuck up people! Those $800 pots and pans are the same as some that cost $100. She is kidding herself.

Buy a gift card, in the amount you want to give, to one of the stores at which they've registered. Your $50 (or whatever you choose to give) can go toward buying that $800 pot. No one (not even a snooty, stuck-up person) expects everyone to spend a fortune on wedding gifts.

Most couples who are getting married register at a few different stores to make gift buying easier. However since you do not like the bride and are not that close to the groom you always could do what my brother did for my sister's wedding gift. He made a donation to a charity in their name. I'm not sure how that sits on the etiquette side.

You can get them what ever you want. You don't have to buy something on the registry. That is just what they are asking for. Most of the time when people register they only want the most expensive things. Try to find something on the list you can get for less.

Where I live we have $ stores and they have items that are crystal and say lead cystral for a $1.00. If you have a store like this than get them a couple of items and take the price tag off and spent more $ on gift wrapping. That way she will think that it cost alot because of the gift wrapping. Good Luck

I agree go to "Things Remembered" they have really nice things that aren't very expensive. One of my favorite wedding gifts was from there. It's a photo album with mine and my husbands name and the date we got married engraved on there. You can get great things for like $20.

=/Smh... If u really care about any of them then you'd buy your cousin a book on how to deal with dat stuck-up, bratty lil *****! And buy that girl a bible for askin you to spend $800 on some damn silverware when you can buy em up at wal-mart for like $30 or less!! (make sure ya gifts get wrapped for a special occasion) For the both of em, I'd get a boquet of roses and a specific card that implies the both of them seeking psychological therapy fast! OTHERWISE, I WOULDN'T BUY **** FOR EM', PERIOD!!!

Get them something that will be useful to both of them in their new home that they will be living together in. It doesn't have to be costly, you'll get out of the committment of getting them something easily, and they'll both appreciate it. Plus, it doesn't really show that you absolutely LOVE either of them, which would be convenirnt, since you don't. Or you could just give them some money.

go to a really expensive store, and buy them one of the cheapest things there. like a candle and candle lighter, or picture frame, or ice bucket, or flower pot. then give it to them without a gift receipt. lol. if you give them cash or a gift card, u end up looking petty if you give what you REALLY want to give. when you put it in the form of a present, it's the thought that counts! that's what i would do :)
