Im Catholic, my wife is "Church of Christ" (Not Boston Church of Christ!), to compromise we got married in a neutral wedding venue with her minister presiding. Her father never came because he wanted her to marry someone from his "own" church. Is that screwed up? Am I right to feel insulted..I treat his daughter like a queen!!!

I'm getting a ring for my girlfriend and need to find out her ring size. Its a surprise so how do I do it without letting her know that I'm trying to find out her ring size?

note1: She doesn't usually wear rings, so I can't find one for reference..

note2: Yeps.. its for a proposal...

Thanks!

I dated a guy and he gave me a promise ring in 2004, we broke up, and in 01/05 I was dating someone else, who i'm still with. I still have the promise ring my ex gave me in a box with all his memorabilia. Should I give the ring back? (He doesn't ask for it or anything, he says he's still in love with me)

I was suppose to get married next year in Jamaica. When we started planing we decided against a big wedding. But my mom decided that she wanted to invite her friends so instead of 15 it was 45, I decided to l.i.g the situation b/c she was excited but when she found out that we were leaving the day before her she blew a gasket;then when she found out that we were staying at a different hotel she was upset about that. When her & I talked about it I thought she was okay with everything b/c she hadn't said anything in a couple of weeks. Now she is upset b/c her friends will have to get passports to go(but she knew that from the start). She wanted to argue & scream(as usual), I decided to call the whole thing off. When a person gets married it's suppose to be exciting but all I feel is hurt and upset. We decided to go to the courthouse b/c I don't want to argue anymore. When she finds out she going to be upset, but it's nothing I can do for her.The funniest thing is she wasn't paying for anything

My daughter is getting married in August, 2007 and she has already been planning for atleast six months. That will make, by the time all is said and done, over a year and a half of planning. I think this is ridiculous! One has to wonder if the wedding these days is more important to a woman than the actual marriage. Where are your priorities? By the way, I am dreading it. I don't like being in the spotlight and I'm just not much of a socializer.

I fell in love with a guy who is 14 years older than me. I'm 26 and he's 40. Part of me wants to call him and re-unite but only because he's the first guy I dated that shared the same values as me. Sometimes I think he broke up with me because I'm Bipolar.

My fiance and I are are planning on getting married. We are both very private people and we need to get married in a hurry. He is going to be signing on with the Navy and we dont want any loop hole.
We both have large families that tend to complicate things. We thought about having a court wedding and not inviting anyone, but we feel that would hurt the feelings of our friends and family members. So we thought that maybe doing a wedding via the web might be a clever way to share our day with our families.
I know that it may seem impersonal to have every one attend a webconference type wedding, but is that better than excluding our families all together? Has anyone ever attended or done this before? Any feedback would be great.
