tough call. In a previous life I have been with a woman whom I loved very much, who loved me very much - but for some reason I never asked her to marry me... On one occasion she kind of asked whether I'd like to marry her but she made it sound like it was a bit of a joke so I did not take her very seriously. Also during a 3-year relationship we ended up spending about 1.5 years of it fairly far from each other, in one case about 3-4 hours of driving, in the second case about 7 hours of flying time.

Anyway, after having lost year (deep regrets at the time!) I did end up finding someone also very nice and I'm happily married. But it wasn't easy.

Bottom-line? Guys can be scared of making the big jump, more so than girls. If you've had something serious going on for at least several months, YOU may at least put a bit of pressure, or try to help him realise that you don't want for this to go one forever without any long-term commitment. You could ask him to think about what his life would be like if you ended up leaving him because of the lack of commitment...

Hope this helps

Communication is the key. Have a general talk, not too serious, but just talk and see how he feels. Discuss what you want in you life and ask him what he wants in his.
Tell him you see yourself with him, but don't pressure him as pressure can destroy a relationship. Just be open and communicate with each other. Its best you know now if he wants to get married before you spend the next 2-3 years waiting for something thats not going to come. I've seen some relationships ruined from pressure and its a shame, but sometimes you can't help it because you want to know when.....its hard when you want something and you know its special!

He'll ask in his own good time. If you've got the sort of relationship that is heading towards marriage anyway, shouldn't you be able to talk about marriage together?

My fiancé and I talked about marriage for ages, and we both felt that we'd get married at some point, but he wasn't ready to ask me. That was find with me because I wanted him to ask me because he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, not because he felt pushed into it. Eventually he just asked one day, completely unexpectedly, and I knew it was what he really wanted!

He'll ask when he's really ready to ask, and just because he hasn't asked yet doesn't mean that he doesn't want to marry you at some point, but that he isn't ready for the whole thing quite yet.

Only he can really decide, and you need to talk to him about it.

I don't know your situation, however, I kept encouraging my boyfriend to get married. Finally, he asked. He felt stressed out about it but we did it. We divorced 5 years later. Don't push him. When he's ready he'll ask.
My current husband asked me the 3rd week after we met. We didn't marry until we knew each other for awhile but he asked me in HIS time.

He will ask you to marry him when he knows that you are the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, be patient it took my husband ten years but I am married now and that is the main thing.

When he's truly ready and knows that you are too...can't rush those kinda things...there are far too many divorces happening in this world... Call me ol' fashioned, but I believe that marriage is a serious committment and one that should'nt be made, unless you're both absolutely 100% sure...without any doubts...and for all the right reasons... :-)

When he thinks he wants to marry you ... If you're so curious, why not ask him to marry you? Don't be surprised if he says "No" though!!

How can we answer when you give us no details!! How long have you been together? Do you live together? Have you been married before? Anything else will do.

well baby .. as soon as when he read this poem sure he will ask you to marry him ..
and in case he didn`t , i will do ..

you are the hope....

the hope you are , and my life is with you ...
the passion you are , and and the happiness with you ..
the first love you are, and the last of my dreams...
return back to me , and shake my clam heart ...
come back and own me by your charming whispers...
oh whom owned the life and the soul mine...
o whom are the happiness of my heart..
and the wise of the mind...
o whom you are the last dream, and the last wishes which i wish ..

the hope you are , and the last love which i search for...
love you ...
