Here is what my plan is in December.
The week before Christmas me and gf will go out to look at the towns Christmas lights and when we get to the big docorated Christmas tree, I plan on getting on one knee and asking her to marry me. It might not be what some would do, but what is more romantic then proposing during the holiday time. Trust me it will be a Christmas that she won't forget for a long time.

I cant say what i did was perfect, but it woked. lol. I started the night out with a nice upscale dinner at a restaraunt called the Bone Fish Grill, then we drove about an hour to the west coast on lake michigan. (i went the night before and found a great spot to pop the question) took her out to the end of the pier its was a great setting with a light house & sunset, got down on my knee said a few things & here we are 2 years later.

Both girl and body need to offer commitment to marriage, having a baby or two and becoming proud parents rest of their lives. They both need to be sincerely ready to give their all for that.
This needs to be expressed in some way in whatever way you want to propose marriage.

My ex fiancee, (ex for a reason that showed itself after the engagement)... but he brought his mother into the restaraunt where I was a bartender for lunch one afternoon... and while i was waiting on them... brings out a ring box and says to me, "now if i ask you to marry me in front of my mother.. will you honor my intentions of becoming my wife?" I thought it was the most wonderful day of my life so far, as I never thought i'd get a 2nd chance at marriage in this lifetime... and however things did not work out for us... which is sad.. but in the event, that it ever happens again.... I'll settle for something along the lines of him being on bended on knee, taking my hand and asking me if I don't think it is time to wed him?"... I think I could live with that alone.

im a girl.. the ideal marriage proposal for me is like the one on the tv sitcom "friends".. it was ross idea. on the tv show... on a planetarium and the stars will spell out "will you marry me?'' isnt that sweet?? i just love that idea

while the girl is sleeping, slip the ring on her finger that has a note stringed on it saying "will you marry me". and have alot of roses all on her bed.
when she wakes up, the first thing she'll notice is the roses, which will make her happy, then she'll notice the hanging string and the ring, she'll scream with excitement
make sure she doesn't wake up
