If and when I were to remarry I would want a woman to control me with her knowledge, wisdom, and devotion. Looks are not important.

A lot of people here are not understanding what I mean by control. The control I am referring to has to do with fidelity in body and even in mind. One has to be convinced about one's partner for this fidelity to be there. I am talking about being controlled by love and respect. Respect for the natural propensities each mate has to offer beginning with love, but then wisdom, intelligence, knowledge etc.

Maybe this is theory to some people.

Yes, of course there is equality. Each mate can offer at least love if not wisdom, knowledge, etc.

But, what if for instance one mate is a school teacher while the other mate is a truck driver. Each mate may have a little something different to offer outside of the simple love, wisdom and knowledge.

So, outside of the contribution of love, wisdom, knowledge etc. there may be some natural traits offered by each mate in a marriage.

I don't think he means "control" in the way you all are taking it. I think he means control as in... help you grow, show you guidance... something along those lines.

I wouldn't want my husband to control me nor would I want to control him.. I want and have an equal partnership in which each of us contributes...

If you must control or be controlled you are not in an equal marriage you are in a prison, all that's left to know is when will the prisoner realize there are walls around them and what will they do to escape.. Assumming they can..

A marriage is not about one person controlling another person, it's about two people coming together as one unit and both contributing to the marriage as partners.

One person shouldn't be all controlling and the other one submissive. It's about working together.

Control is something I do to my T.V., not my second half! If my man needed to be controlled, then he's not strong enough to be my husband. My man needs to stand on his own two feet and know exactly what he wants in life, without my "control"

I prefer equality. It's not a male-dominated relationship, nor or is it female. It's a partnership where each side has similiar responsiblities.

male advice - i though a strong personallity is better than looks.

if i was a pickup artist, i'll be more knowledgable, full of wisdom, and three-quaters devoted. she'd be graceful, accepting and winsome.

nobody wants to be "controlled". we all just want to be loved, respected and appreciated. I'd suggest not marrying again until you change your views on what marriage is....
