Don't worry, my sister is nearly 20 years older than I am, and when she got married 9 years ago, I was 12, and she was 30. All her bridesmaids were friends from work and close personal ones all roughly around the same age. I was the youngest one, so I know how you feel. You'll be fine.

Relax, there is a reason you were asked to be an attendant, the bride obviously thinks alot of you or she wouldn't have included you... Hold your head high, walk with confidence (only you know the butterflys are wrestling in your stomach)..

As for feeling left out or out numbered, I realize the other bridesmaids are able to go out to places you are not due to age.. That doesn't mean you can't invite the bride and your fellow bridesmaids to a luncheon or picnic (something you can do with them) so you can feel a part of things.. Offer to assist the bride with sending out invitations or other arrangements.. You will only be as left out as you allow yourself to be..

aww its ok. the same thing happened to me when i was your age. i kinda felt left out too sometimes. i was kinda quiet when i was young and all of the bridesmaids were the brides best friends and i was the grooms god daughter. they were nice though. they tried to talk to me but we didnt really have alot in common. its only wierd like that before the wedding though. at the reception you will have fun and you can dance the night away with everyone!

That is usually called a "junior bridesmaid", and it is fairly common, and quite an honor. The bride must think a lot of you. Try to enjoy yourself (in a manner appropriate for your age!)

I wouldn't say it's common, but that doesn't mean anything is wrong with it. Actually it is quite a complement and honor. The bride wants you by her side on her special day. I assume that she likes you a great deal and wants your support. Stand tall, smile, and above all just be there as a friend to her. You were CHOSEN for this. You have as much right to it as anyone!

At age 13, you should be considered a junior bridesmaid.

I think you're at the age I had my niece be bridesmaid at my wedding. Once you're there on the actual day, you'll have a lot of fun - everyone will include you in everything, don't worry.

You've been asked one of the most flattering things anyone could ask of you. The other's probably feel as akward as you do considering your age but go in there with the attitude of making friends and having a good time while supporting the bride on her big day. You'll do just fine.

Your not considered a bridesmaid at that age you are considered a junior bridesmaid being that your not old enough to be considered a witness to anything legally.
