It should work. I'm trying to picture it. I think as long as it's not too shiny of a silver it will look really nice together.

I think they'd go great together. When I design something elegant, I like to use silver or gold as accenting colours. SInce silver is a cooler colour, I like to use it when I want the piece (dress) to have a more subtle, regal-like, feel. On the other hand, if I want the dress to stand out and make a statement of, "Here I am!!", I'll use gold.
For fall, I would totally go with silver and burgundy. Not only do the colors go great together, you can do so much with the colour burgundy as a fabric. Satins, velvets, panne, organza, taffetas..... All of those fabrics look fabulous with jewel-toned colours.
Have fun!!!

Burgundy and silver go well together however for a wedding I suggest 3 colors 2 mains and a third accent color in this case I suggest black or a very very dark green... Roycroft Bottle or Rockwood Shutter...
Make sure the silver is mat finish not too shiny just a hint of glint..
You need not use alot of the third very dark color it's only there to anchor the room... A room that is decorated in 2 colors without a solid very dark color feels unfinished and as if it is floating..
Look at any room in a decorator showcast there is always 1-5 very dark items (vases, books, nic-nacs) in a very dark room.. remove the pieces and the room feel unfinished like it';s waiting for the anchor to stop it from floating..

Burgundy is a warm colour, and needs to be matched with warm accessories. Silver is a cold colour, and does not go well with warm.
Gold or bronze accessories with burgundy would be much better, giving the burgundy richness and depth.

Burgundy and silver are great, you could also add a few touches of DEEP blue. So it isn't just silver and burgundy, which could get overwhelming.

I used burgundy and mauve in my second wedding several years ago. The colors were easy to find and looked lovely. My daughter wore burgundy as my honor attendant and my granddaughters wove mauve as my flower girls. I used silk flowers and used them later with moss green in my bedroom.

I think so. Gold will go with burgundy also. It is a matter of what you like.

maybe gold or a sienna brown for a fall wedding - silver gets more into the winter colors.

It could work, though I'd think gold, copper, or white gold might go with the warmer accents of the burgundy better, IMO.
