How do you know if you really love somone? And if so... How do you know if that someone is your soulmate? According to the dictionary a soulmate is your fbest friend, someone you can laugh with, be sad with, etc. But I have loads of friends that I can do that with. What makes someone that special and what if you found your soulmate but there is no love?

My mom is 50 Years old and she is getting remarried next week. I love her hubby to be and I am very happy for her. But seeing that last time she got married I was 4 I don't know what I should get them for a gift. I want it to be something that will be meaningful for the both of them. She is my best friend and he is a very dear person in my heart ( they have only been dating since March, but he has become a very important person in my life, he drove me to my wedding in May and has treated my whole family as if it was his own) I am so happy for the both of them and just want to give them the perfect gift, but am short on funds. I am thinking of spending about $60 on it. HELP!

Everyone keeps asking us what I want for our wedding next week and we have no idea. We've asked for some frames and albums. but we don't want to many of them. Our house is already set up so we don't need anything and we are going to move to another country in a few years so we don't want anything to big or breakable. Can anyone suggest some practable idea's ?

I've never heard of it as I'm not Catholic but I've been asked to buy one for a wedding that I'm going to abroad. Does anyone know where I can get one?

The Wedding would be in the evening on October 31, 2007. Somewhere creepy would be nice. The place has to let me have my own minister. It would be better if the place was indoors ( due to the cold ). They also can't say anything about my wedding party being in costumes ( Halloween Wedding) or what music I play.

Hi everyone,

I'm going to ask my girlfriend to marry me. I couldn't be happier.

But, there's the ring question. I'm a software entrepreneur. Sometimes I make money, sometimes I lose it. This year I'll probably lose about $250K. It turns out that jewlers won't pay you $40K to take a ring from them.

Luckily last year, I killed myself and made plenty of money. But, I have no idea what to spend. My girlfriend and I love each other and she'd be happy if I got her a toy plastic ring: We're very modest folks. But, my theory isn't that the ring matters to much to her, it's more of a signal to her friends. So, I figure I should get something nice.

If I wanted, I could drop half a million on the ring and not sweat it. But that would be plainly absurd. If we're traveling, I'd worry someone would cut of her finger. But I don't want to do something cheap either.

So, dear answerers, what do you think is reasonable? No sweet "whatever would make you happy" answers please. Thanks.

The couple is footing most of the wedding bill, but the Brides Mom (and family) is helping a little financially. Grooms family not even offering to help in any way (He's the "black sheep" of three siblings). We'd like to include Brides family in the invitation wording, but don't know how to make it sound proper, without insult to Grooms family.

Went to a wedding of a family member. It was beautiful.
The reception was good as well. There were alot of people drinking to the point of feeling really good. We however did not drink. One of my sister in laws did something that disturbed me greatly. She walked up to my husband and hugged him for the longest time. Later my husband said I think she was drunk. He never backed away from her...they just stood there holding one another.
She has never done this before but she has had a bad experience with her husband and other women. What do you think?

My intention is not to offend anyone. I'm planning a wedding and through research, I've come across a lot of beautiful weddings for Indian brides living in the United States.

It seems that traditionally, Indian weddings have LOTS of guests! I couldn't imagine knowing so many people so I'm just wondering...

Is it traditional?
How do you know all of those people?
Do you invite only close friends and family or do you open your wedding to associates and acquaintances since it's a big event?
How do you afford such extravagance? Do Indian families traditionally save up for their children's wedding from a young age?

Thanks in advance for the info! I'm so interested in understanding this tradition! I absolutely love the pictures I've seen of these weddings and wish that I could afford to have one just like it... and that I knew as many people to celebrate with me :-)

For my reception, I get to pick two entrees from the menu that the caterer provides.

My fiance wants one to be the roast beef with gravy, and I have to choose between chicken or ham. Our wedding is in the beginning of december (I don't know if that matters).

Anyway, the chicken choices are either chicken marsala (and I don't know what that is) or baked with gravy.

I have no idea what kind of gravy, but I'm assuming it's a white type, and the roast beef's gravy is the dark type. The ham is just plain old baked ham.

I just want opinions. Ham or chicken (and which type?)

Our sides are mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, and fruit salad.

i need to find a song that would be appropriate for me to dance to with my brother in law who married my sister when I was 4 and has treated me like a daughter and a friend. I also want to find an
old yet uncommon first song to dance with my future husband.
Something very meaningful . Please give me a few choices.
