My Uncle was walking me down the aisle.....whispered in my ear the name of his attorney.
I was amazed that he could read my face.
I did the wedding - had a HECK of a party.
When the recep. was over - told him that I was sorry for getting his hopes up and I don't think that it was going to work out.
We talked most of the evening.
14 days later - filled for an annulment.
We don't talk anymore and I think he has since re-married- WHICH I HOPE HE DID - he was a good guy - just NOT my guy.
If you can - stop it before it happens - I had more drama from friends and family than him!
Good Luck!

I knew my husband was the one for me, that's why when he asked me to marry him I said yes, If I knew he wasn't the one I'd never say yes. so therefore when we get to the alter we know we'll be happy forever because we know that we're truly the one for eachother. we never have that problem that we got to the alter and realized we weren't the one for eachother, that'd be stupid because you paid so much money for the wedding, and then just realized you weren't the one, then either call everything off or marry them anyway.

We knew each other for 8 months when we got married and we were madly in love and "knew" we were right for each other... neither of us had any doubts at the alter and it was one of the happiest days of my life. Two years later I ended up fiing for divorce, getting a restraining order agaist him, putting him in jail, and all that fun stuff because he went crazy on me.
I dont know the point of my little ramble here, I'm just really bitter about marriage now.

No, I wouldn't have gotten engaged if I didn't want to get married. He kept telling me that if I didn't want to get married that I could call it off that I could until we got married. (we don't believe in divorce) and he is very self concious. But I didn't because I love him very very much and i still do and always will!!!

Not personally but I have a friend who did. Knew she didn't love him but thought that she could learn to love him, as he loved her so very much.
Not a good ending to this story.
You have until the officiant pronounces you husband & wife, to change your mind. If there are doubts, I suggest you do it before it gets this far.

Yes, I did. I think I instinctually knew beforehand, but it struck me while I was up there. I went through with it anyway (I was 19). Then a year later, I finally stuck up for myself and we divorced.

I never was 100% sure. 6 years later I still am not 100% sure. I do love him, though. :) And he adores me.

I haven't but my advice would have to be not to marry the person. If your not truely in love with him/her then its not fair to that person if he/she truely loves you.
