my wife seperated a week agoshe still calling me she says that this is going to make marriage stronger and this will be good thing . her attitude towards seems positive and that in 6 month if i ask her back shell come back running but she says we need time away ro realize what we have. she took the kids and leased a aparment, which i think she will fail finacially. I dont want my children to suffer but will this open her eyes to what she is loosing. i been supportive and a good father never violent or unfaithful but we argue alot. i tried to be supporting when she left. even offer for me to leave and her to stay. I know with 3 kids and a job she wont have time to go out. I dont know how to go about it? Most seperation end up in divorce. should I start looking for legal advice? Her freind seperated and it work out so it seem thats were she got the advice to leave. Should I listen to her and take it a a good thing that might fix our problem and how supprtive shoul i be

My husband just got back home for leave from Afghanistan, and I have been doing everything in my power to make him feel like a king. I don't ask him to do anything, even though he does help out TONS around the house. I encourage him to sleep and relax while I am cooking dinner. I cook all his favorite things. I don't hound him about things about the home that need attention, although he sees them, or recalls my mention of them, and he has fixed all of them. Here is the problem though...

Now, it seems he doesn't want to have sex much. To be honest, he never really was a sex maniac, but I thought since he had been away for 8 months so far, he'd want to do it at least everyday...I certainly the hell could do with 3x a day, but I'm shooting for reasonable. He came home Thanksgiving day, and we have only done it twice. I am worried he is cheating over there. I am not unattractive at all. I'm in great shape, 5'10 135 lbs...and I do everything for him. I just don't understand...

We got engaged and he bought an investment property next door and rented it out to a family he knows. These people are heavy partiers and like to drink alot. Since they have moved in, it seems his priorities are way off. He hangs out there alot and drinks with them and is never home and hardly pays bills on time or misses a few months at a time. He also put a real heater in the garage next door so they can all party and drink and smoke in it!? yet, he doesn't do anything around HIS house anymore but is always next door. These people never pay rent on time and he doesn't charge them late fees. They also didn't pay the extra pet fees when they got pets. Other people have also noticed a huge change in him. We've gotten into many arguements over this and I finally confronted him about and told him I am worried about him and that he may be going down the wrong path drinking too much, etc.... He said 'It's you, you are the wrong path. I can't function around you.' What the heck does he mean?

Edgar Allan Poe's first wife, his cousin Virginia, was only thirteen years old when he married her; he was twice her age.

I need to know how bad it was considered to be to marry one's cousin, as well as how bad it was considered to be to marry someone so much younger than oneself, in the early 1800s. Please provide sources too; I need it to be credible information.

My brother just lost his fiance' (I always thought she was a little psycho but bit my tongue b/c I knew he loved her with all his heart). The wedding was in 15 days, and I already have non-refundable airline tickets to get me out there for the event that is no longer to be. I'm still going out....but to just visit I guess.

My brother is devastated. He lost his entire future. He loved this girl, AND her two sons (ages 5 and 2) and gave them everything he had. He had assumed the role of a Daddy so beautifully. And she just told him that she "just can't do it". Gave him back his ring, and he hasn't heard another word from her.

I'm going to be out there, but feel so terrible about it. What can I do to help him? He has never had his heart broken like this before. What can I do as the big sister?

You know how when you were young and you wanted something but your parents would not get it for you because it was too expensive. You probably do the same thing now that you are older. You see something you want, but when you see the huge price tag, you say nevermind and you don't get it. Like everything in modern society, marrige has a price. When I see a price tag that says "half your stuff" I say nevermind, and I don't get it.

I married in Miami and have been separated from my husband for more than 2 years and would like a divorce. I now live in Orlando and I don't know where he is and it is unlikely that he will consent to the divorce anyway. How long and how much money would it take to make it happen?

I keep falling for any other man who gives me attention and is nice to me. Actually, I don't fall for them but I fantasize about them. Recently, I fell hard for a married man at work. Things are getting better with my husband, but why do I still have feelings for this other man? How do I move on?

I kind of wish that 50 years from now when I'm old and useless, I can look at myself when I was young and full of lust, power and sexual energy and say daaamn I was hot. Is that good enough a reason of a reason to make your own porn? The drawback is that kids might find it or someone, like a disgruntled past lover, might steal it and put it all over the Internet. What do you think?

Arguably, being cheating on is really one of the most hurtful, mind bubbling things to happen to a person. I think most would agree! And I've heard some pretty bad cheating stories. Some I still can't get over till this day. Can't comprehend why.

So I was wondering. How do you comfort someone who's been cheated on? Because a lot of the time, that (exception of children) person who has been cheated on. Is the most effected.

What do say to somebody? How does that one moment effect the rest of your life??

And please, DON'T make any smart-as* remarks. If that's the case, just move on please. . .

Thoughts? Experiences?

I AM 24 YEARS OLD AND MY HUSBAND IS 29. WE WILL BE MARRIED 2 YEARS THIS MONTH AND HE HAS NEVER HAD A JOB. I JUST HAD OUR DAUGHTER LAST YEAR AND SHE IS A LITTLE OVER ONE NOW. WHEN WE GOT MARRIED THE HOUSE WE LIVE IN IS PAID OFF BECAUSE IT WAS INHERITED BY HIM AND HIS SISTER. SO HE TRIES TO USE THAT AS LEVERAGE. AND NOT ONLY WILL HE NOT DO ANYTHING FINANCIALLY HE IS VERY CONTROLING AND MANIPULATIVE. HE TRIES TO KEEP ME FROM MY FAMILY AND "DISCIPLINE" ME BY TAKING THE HOUSE KEYS AND TRUCK KEYS AWAY FROM ME. I CAN SEE THAT IM SINKING QUICKLY ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN PUTTING OFF GOING TO SCHOOL AND I WAS ONLY GOING TO TAKE OFF ONE SEMESTER. WITH THE ECONOMY LIKE IT IS THEY CUT HOURS AT WORK AND H STILL WONT WORK, SAYS I SHOULD GET ANOTHER JOB. HOW DO I PULL MYSELF OUT?

Ex and I broke up about a month ago (both 25) because he felt we were getting too serious. We did not talk until he called me out of the blue the other day and asked me if I was dating anyone, told me he missed me and wanted to start seeing me again, etc. I had heard he was dating someone, so I asked him about it. He said no. He's been calling me every day since then.

I don't have a myspace, he does, and I looked on his and saw that there is a girl who calls him babe, talks about what they're doing that nite, etc. I asked him about it and he said they are nowhere even close to being official but they do hang out. Apparently she was out of town for awhile and just got back on saturday; he has not called me since she's been back.

I am so mad at myself for believing he wanted to get back to me even though he has obviously chosen her. He said they are not at all exclusive; do I have a right to be mad about this? If he calls, should I ignore him or give him another chance to date?

Does my husband, who pays a high child support, have the right to not give money to his ex-wife for a dental procedure on their son?
His ex claims to have done this procedure but the health insurance did not cover it. the son corroborates this story but we dont believe her she is usually trying to get more money on top of the child support. so can he refuse to pay it unless she can prove it?
Has anybody have experienced a situation like this before? what did you do?

For the past 4 years we had issues with him coming home when he feels like it, he was also caught sending inappropiate text messages to other women. Not to mention all the other mess that I dealt with. Now that I am finally fed up and trying to move on with my life; he says he's not going to sign the documents because he deserves another chance. The only chance he'll get is to mend the relationship with the children for never being there for them. I'm not giving him another chance to hurt my feelings, I just want to end the marriage and move on. But he won't sign the documents.

We live in Maryland

like a good husband. He is good but not as good as others may think. He is bossy, moody, shouts at his wife and make her feel useless. He is a good provider though. The wife doesn't earn but she sees to it that everything in the house run smoothly - from driving the kids to school, going to the market, and even taking charge when there is a need to call a carpenter, painter or a plumber. How can she handle this kind of person. She loves her husband very much.
