You know how when you were young and you wanted something but your parents would not get it for you because it was too expensive. You probably do the same thing now that you are older. You see something you want, but when you see the huge price tag, you say nevermind and you don't get it. Like everything in modern society, marrige has a price. When I see a price tag that says "half your stuff" I say nevermind, and I don't get it.

Never heard marriage quite put that way but, hey to each their own. Now when I divorced my first husband I walked with what I had and, things we got together I let him have. I felt I was losing nothing .....

They can get half your stuff but you get half their stuff so if you choose wisely it can work out fine. If not, have a prenup. Although if the only thing you can focus on is how the relationship might end, maybe you are better off staying alone and unmarried.

Sharing your belongings and life with someone else, comes naturally when you find someone who you feel is worth spending life with.

Until you find that person, i'm sure you will retain this attitude.... and it's ok not to 'settle' for just anyone.

-_- I don't let anything that my parents taught me when I was young affect me now. They ruined all of my holidays as a child.
