Go to the local Barnes & Noble or B.Dalton bookshop... get the very latest Do-It-Yourself Divorce Guide for your state. Some of them have all the forms on a CD-ROM, if not you can download the PDF forms from the state website. The book will be a very fast and empowering read.
Fill all of the appropriate forms out and take them, along with the correct amount of cash, down to the county courthouse. You may be looking at anywhere from $250 to $400 (depening on your state), and it can take perhaps 60 days to be final after you see the judge for the hearing.

Hi after 2 years he can just divorce you, you will need to sign the papers. It should not cost you anything if he starts the divorce, it costs around £350.00 in UK, and you would not even need a solicitor. I have been waiting for my husband to divorce me for 7 years, that's how i know i am not paying a penny becauase i cannot afford it, but i wish he would hurry up.

It depends on the state you live in. There are always time conditions. He or she has to have been gone for a certain amount of time, and that restriction varies from state to state.
Best thing to do is call a lawyer.

divorce is always easier if both people want them, no arguements over property or kids, and you can find the other person
