Part of the reason why I am staying in this unhealthy marriage is because I don’t have anywhere else to go (literally) and I don’t want to ruin my credit (now that it’s starting to improve) by just walking away from the house. We bought a new house almost eight months ago. Neither of us can afford to pay the mortgage alone, and it’s too early to refinance the house. Even with refinancing the house it still won’t reduce it enough to where either of us would be able to afford it. I would love to stay in the house and make the payments, but I can only afford around $800 or $900 per month maximum (and we’re paying $1,525 per month including insurance and taxes). We are with Countrywide. Does anyone know from experience or from working in the real estate or financial industry what can be done? If I want to keep the house will they work with me to come up with an affordable monthly payment, or will I be forced to sell it or walk away. We’ve made every payment on time.

My husband is a weekend binge drinker (2 1/2 fifths a weekend) who gets pretty mean sometimes. It never really bothered me alot because I know it's just the booze talking and I sometimes spend the night in a motel to get away when it really gets bad. He's always sorry when he sobers up but lately, he's being hateful even when he's sober. That bothers me alot because it's HIM talking. He really hurts my feelings for no reason I know of. He's been twice to rehab so he's not going to stop but I don't want him being so mean to me all the time. Why is he being so mean all of a sudden when he's sober? We've been married 4 years.

My husband and I have been married since June of this year. Well i decided that it would be best to have seperate checking accounts because it seems to always be an issue about Him payin most of the bills, so i opened my own and said i will go half of every thing. We he thinks that is completely wrong that my money is his money and his money is mine but when we had a joint account it was always him sayin well I pay all the bills. Am I in the wrong for opening my own account??

long story short. the kid is now 14 and just a few months ago we got a phone call from the mother saying my husband of 7 years might be the father. i guess she has spent 14 years trying to find the father and has done DNA testing on dozen of men. well my husband is the father and now she wants the judge to make us pay thousands a month in 'back' child support ! we didn't even know ! nor did she ! is there any way we can get out of paying 'back' child suppor. i know for a fact that the mother will not use this money to put the kid threw college. its in FL.

I have a few questions to those who do....
Are you married to someone that has children older than you or are your children older than your spouse?
How much older?
How do the step children feel?
What do they say?
Do they know your real age?
How does the other members of your spouse family feel and how does your family feel about the age gap?
Thanks for answering...any info is helpful :-)

My husband is going through a rough spell at work, little money coming in - which we have been there before, I know things are going to get better and I am as stressed as he is and I work too. So lately he has been very disinterested in the bedroom and seems to be turned off if I come on to him. Never had this problem before - used to have to fight him off. Like this weekend he was remodeling the bathroom and I tried to help but he became frustrated because he messed it up. He snapped at me and I brushed it off. Then at the end of the day I tried to flirt/mess with him and he just couldn't be bothered. My feelings were hurt and it turned into a big fight and him telling me to go **** myself, "What do you want from me" and "if you can't accept me just leave me". And all I wanted was a little attention. Then when I back off and give him time to think he is all over me, which was what I wanted in the first place! I keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. Please advise me!

My mother-in-law tends to be nosey, judgemental, and rude. For example: She came to visit us last Friday & brought 6 of my husband's nephews. She never mentioned brining all the boys & I barely had enough food.Somehow, they ended up staying the night. I wasn't prepared. I was bothered but kept my cool but when she came back to get them - I stayed in my room.

She is a single, born again Christian who gossips a lot. She used to be promiscuous & abused alcohol & drugs.

Since she lives in LA & we live in San Diego, we don't see her too much. In December, my husband & I are going on a cruise & she'll watch our daughter. I feel like I have to hide our bills when she stays @ our house.

My question is - when she pi$$es me off - should I just take it or stand up to her? I feel like if I take it, she'll keep doing it but if I stand up to her - it will cause problems between my husband & I.

It was worse before we had our daughter & I would avoid visting her.

I have discovered information pertaining to his close friendship with this other woman. Not getting in to details, I suspected that there was an affair going on. I asked him if he the situation was reveresed how would he react? He said he would divorce me and would have thought the worst. Is he indirectly admitting that he did cross the line and have an affair or what does this mean? He could have said I would believe you that nothing happend but, he did not. Please help!!!

I’m 22 my husband is 32 we being married 2yrs and half. While I was dating him he was totally a different guy, he cleaned, he cooked he did the laundry and we dated for over a year. However, we got married and the honeymoon was over, he leaves his dirty clothes and underwear’s all over the house. He never cleans, cook’s, or even watch our one year old baby. I work full time as psychologist in school and I go to school part time to get my MS. He won’t even baby sit our kid while I’m cooking or cleaning he would leave him in his room or put him in a walker. I feel like single mom but I really want him to be more helpful please help I need some serious advice by the way he won’t go with me to counseling ‘cause he doesn’t believe in it. He has zero tolerant for our baby when the baby cries he goes off on him and tells me to shut him up. I try to talk to him when none of us is upset, he apologize and says he will change but he never does.

I don't really realize how much of a big responsibility it is, I don't know what to expect, and the troubles I may encounter.

Actually, I have a feeling that it's a piece of cake! People around me get divorced though, can you tell me why? is it always about cheating or financial problems?

2007-11-26 04:17:06 · 8 answers · asked by Anonymous

better. or for worse"..I think that is unreasonable...People now a days will NOT put up with crap...1. Abuse. whether verbal or physical..2. proven infidelity 3. guy flat out refuses to work and the bills are piling up....or whatever....the reason...severe brain damage..i could not stay with someone and if i were like that i would expect him to leave me...He would be suffering if he did NOT LEAVE...AND PUT ME IN A HOME. Actually, i knew someone that left due to his wife wanted to move to a different state and he did NOT want to...What is your take on that???...remember abuse was not in the bible at the time....

My husband and i aren't even divorced yet and i can't get along with him two minutes. He has been gone for months with military never called just thought me and my daughters died. Gets bk and i'm nice enough to talk to him about seeing his daughter he just argues i don't want to meet with you ect. I have to keep telling him i don't want to be with you either! Like he doesn't get i'm just trying to give him a chance to see his daughter I tell him bequiet just give me a time he calls me a ***** tells me he has no respect for me ect. He can't set aside his feelings for 2 mins to even talk on the phone. It is very frustrating because i just had surgery and can't afford to file divorce right now. So i have no idea when visits will happen unless he files It 's a big mess and to me he should be anxious to see his daughter not yelling at me it's so discusting!

I have a real problem; my husband and I have been married for 4 years. Our marriage had been nice, not perfect but nice. He is a good guy and says he is crazy about me. The problem is he doesn’t like to talk. We worked all day and when we see each other at night I like to talk. He does not pay attention nor does he make the minimum effort to talk.

My family lives in a different country so it is not like I can just talk to them. I feel terribly sad and bored. I have opted out to go out with my friends mostly every night. I also get home late now because If I get there early I will be talking to the walls.

My husband gets mad when I go out, but he is not the best company in the world and I feel really frustrated with his lack of interest in sharing with me. I know he does not have problems at work. I have asked many times what’s going on and he says there is nothing wrong. He says it just his personality. HELP!

It's for my long-term boyfriend (which is why I am posting here, and not singles and dating), and I am looking to spend about $100.
He is into:
Filmaking, movies, cooking, outdoor activites (hiking, cycling, etc.), music (jazz and also Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin - stuff like that), he dresses well, but does not wear jewelry, is really into Frank Miller and graphic novels, also likes art deco architecture and design, martial arts, and working out.
He is 27, and works as a videographer and graphic designer.

Help!

He doesn't drink coffee, but likes import beer and good vodkas. He also smokes cigars.
