As long as you are both 18 it shouldnt matter if they find out or not. Unless you still have to live at home, or have plans of moving in together immediatly who cares if they know.

Confidential marriages are not listed online. Even if you go into the County Clerk's office and search the public computer you will not find any record. The only way is by having a 'letter of record/no record' done by the clerk's office. What this is is a cross check of the bride/groom's last names done over a 4-year period that will say "there is SOMETHING"...or "no there is NOTHING"...but it wont tell you exactly what is there or when it happened or any details. I had to do this for an investigation of my husband's exwife. Once you think you have 'something' it takes a court ordered subpoena to have the record pulled and opened and you have to have an atty and a VERY good reason to request it. So, if you are in CA...no worries...if you keep it quiet, no one is going to find out.

It is usually public record, but it won't be recorded until after your married.
Why are her parents saying your not ready? do you have your education, secure job, a home?
Does g/f have her education, a secure job?
I'm not trying to discourage you, but you really need these things b/4 you guys get married. trust me. It will make your marriage stronger b/c you won't be fighting over no work or a job. And your not ready if your going to be living with ANYONE else, like mom, friends, grandma's basement
This is the same advise I gave my kids, money and a job are fore runners for divorce

Court records are public information.
Your best bet would be to not get married until the two of you are emotional mature enough to handle the responsibility.
Good luck. You have a ways to go.

If she is underage.. you can be arrested later on for rape, etc. Do it the right way.. legally and upfront other wise ..you will have set yourself up for rape charges later on. If you do it the wrong way.. NO ONE ..including your own new wife will ever trust your judgement.
Marriage licenses are public property.

Why the big rush? If it gets out the in-laws will never trust you.
