why is it in divorce cases the wife always gets half of the man's things? if divorce was started by anyone cheating and the husband wasnt abusive or anything why does he lose half of his things?

in my last divorce i have lost my house, my two cars, all the belongings in the house, all furniture and any other items that were bought. i even lost the stuff that was bought before i was married because it was in the house. my wife got it all as she doesnt work and has no support, but she never wanted to work thats why we got divorced. why does this happen? i have seen numerous men having to deal with same situations. why?

I just need a bit of guidance. So my good friend was madly in love with a girl they broke up and she started seeing someone else. He of course started seeing someone else too. And of course after about two months of dating his new girl he got her pregnant. So from the beginning he said he would take care of the kid but didn't want to be with her. He and the girl that he was in love with were trying to work things out (she stopped seeing the guy she was dating) and like a month ago she decided that she couldn't deal with him having a kid with another woman and dumped him. My friend was devastated because he thought things were going so well and was in heaven thinking he would be with his ex girlfriend( who he wanted to marry).Now here' s the issue. He got back with the child's mother last week and mentioned proposing to her. I usually mind my own business but I'm concerned about his motivation of proposing to her. I don't know if i should voice my concern or keep my mouth shut.

We have 2 boys (14,6) he would never stick with one job,car,women. hHe has cheated many times and we would get back together. After 14 yrs i said no more! My boys should not have this idea this is what marriageis all about. the new gf is o n a schedule every day!! wake up at this time ,brush teeth ,fix hair,go to work,come home eat ,get ready for bed,no drinking no smoking and you cannot deviate from this routine. My reply was "you do not need anotrher mother" he said she is leading him down the right path! What!
i think she would like to change him. I says you love someone through thick and thin. NO ONE can change another person, and i believe you love someone for thier assets and faults. should i have said that?

First, please don't tell me to go to singles/dating. All children there. I have been divorced for 1 1/2 yrs. 2 months ago a man I was very much in love with ended our relationship. I have been trying to move on, but still love him so much. So, I was asked out by someone to go to lunch. Originally I said yes, then called him back and said no. The thing is that his kids are grown and gone, I still have two elementary school age. He had his early, I had mine late. I just don't see how long range this would work. We are too different stages of life even though we are about the same age. I know it is just lunch. But if I don't see how it could work long term, no sense someone getting hurt when it eventually ends right? Or am I just avoiding moving on? Would you have gone? It just seems like he has been there done that and I am still raising young ones. Reality check...what do you think?

I went on a 2nd date w/ 25 y/o good looking guy that revealed his "deepest secret" to me volutarily (I'm 25 too), which is that he swears he is still a virgin. But he told me was always out on party scene for last several yrs, and he had 6-yr relationship since HS and gf never gave it up to him and ended up sleeping w/ another guy. Honestly, I don't do a lick of it if I can get away with it; I'm not very good at it and do my best to avoid getting better at it. My girlfriend usually just gives up trying to make me do any, but I've been told that I'm not correct in refusing to embrace the domestic joys.

my father was ordered to pay off the house in the divorce decree and he has stopped making payments on it. It was bought under both of my parents names but before thier divorce he refinanced and put it only under his name. My mother and I are still living here and were getting letters telling us they're wanting to forclosure it. I would really like to continue living here but im scared to approach my father about it, it seems like a difficult topic to discuss with him. Legally what can my mother do to keep the house?

I recently came to an end with my feelings for my relationship. My husband of 2 yrs never loved me. Always said he loved me, but wasn't in love with me. We got married treated me like I wasn't ever good enough etc. I still kept giving my all in the relationship. I told him yesterday if he wants to save our marriage he needs to come for two-three days and be with me. He wrote me back and email saying basically he'll come pick me up end of nov when I am ready to come back to him. How did it turn out? Did they ignore their feelings for the other person, have an affair (and if so did the spouse find out?), get divorced and then become involved with the other person, or did the married person leave their spouse to be with the other person? If the married person left their spouse to be with the new person, is the couple now happy together?

I ask for other experiences because I fell in love with a man who is married but separated. He said he loves me too and wants to be with me but they still haven't filed for divorce (we've been seeing each other for 8 months). I began to realize that it's a lot more complicated than I originally thought... not happily ever after.. and I was wondering if similar stories have turned out happy or horribly? Thanks!

So me and my ex-girlfriend of 3 months had a great relationship, we never been in one fight. I trust her and she trusts me. Well this past week she has been acting distant, not holding my hand, or kissing me at all.. way different than what she used to. Well I re-set her alarm on her phone this morning and it went to her text messages.. there were 2 messages from guys at 4 am.

Ok, I trust her, it didn't bother me. Well I brought it up as a joke, and she kept going on about it, asking why I went through her phone and I was lying about going through her messages, when I really wasn't. I told her to just drop it. Well she begins making rude remarks, "did you find anything good?" and stuff like that. I'VE NEVER gone through her phone unless I had a reason to.

Well finally I got tired of the way she was acting and I go, "Its over" and she goes, "Good call."

So the whole ride home(2 hour ride) she says nothing.. I tried texting her, no reply back..

What do I do?

What do I do about my husband who seems to care too much about making more money. He already works a lot at his regular job but he keeps trying to figure out ways such as business ventures to bring in more money. We are already doing fine financially actually better than we ever have before. He says he wants to make sure we are prepared in the future for ourselves and for our 3 daughters college education when they're older. But I'm afraid it will be at the expense of spending more time with his family and just enjoying life.

Can someone please tell me where I can find a virgin for marriage?

I don't want to marry a non-virgin. First, because I am a virgin, and likewise want to marry a virgin girl. Second, if I married a non-virgin, I'd go through life feeling inferior, insecure, jealousy and even loathing her.

Her dad has a huge history of substance abuse which used to include week long binges on the white stuff before I met him. He currsntly drinks way too much atleast 12 to 18 Bud Ice's per evening, he says he drinks because he is miserable with me, and when i am not around he says he does not drink, I dont believe him though. He decided to cheat on me and left recently he wants to pick up our little girl and have visitation with her over nights now. i do not trust that he is capable of taking care of her. Any advice?

I've been married to my husband for nearly a year. He's 43 and I'm 52. He has 3 children that I have helped him take care of for over 3 years.

His job is located 2 and a half hours away from our home, in a different town. He works 12 hour shifts, so if you calculate the drive to and from work and atleast an hour for dinner or whatever, he gets less than 5 hours of sleep before each shift. Recently, he's been spending days at a time there, staying with friends and now the company he works for has given him a motel room for free. So, he's spending even less time at home.

When he does come home, he only spends time with the kids. We have not had sex in over a month. I try to touch him and he shrugs me away. He has come home with bruises and marks on his shoulders and chest.

He's been working there for a year and only started wanting to stay there in August. It feels as though he finds more and more reasons to stay there.

Is this an affair? Or is he just tired?

Ok this is what happened . I went one day to his office and she was there , That was the first time i met her, and I get mad because he never told me they are talking ....bla..bla...I just...got jealous! So he decided to never tell me they were taking. He said she is his best friend.they met since high school One day i found out they went out for lunch ( He never told me) I found out e-mails saying: I hope you have a nice day.....bla..bla..bla...nothing ( he never told me)..... She saying i had a good time yesterday, he claims they were at his office taking and that was it.....I don't know what to do. I know he loves me , but I can't trust him. I'm thinking all the time what he is doing!! who is taking with!!!!...It's my fault? He said He never told me this because I'm jealous.
