my father was ordered to pay off the house in the divorce decree and he has stopped making payments on it. It was bought under both of my parents names but before thier divorce he refinanced and put it only under his name. My mother and I are still living here and were getting letters telling us they're wanting to forclosure it. I would really like to continue living here but im scared to approach my father about it, it seems like a difficult topic to discuss with him. Legally what can my mother do to keep the house?

Go back to the divorce lawyer and talk to him you can also bring it to the courts attention that he is in contempt of the divorce degree and have a hearing. Good Luck and i am sorry to hear that.
