I still feel something for my first love and it was 50 yrs ago. We were in high school, both having our first loves, both from stormy homes, stumbling through our relationship. First kiss, first makeout, first dances. She was a saxophonist and I still think of her every time I hear a sax solo. Ran into her when we were in our 30's. Was fun to see her again. Met each others spouses and children.

Well I guess my husband of 4 years thought he still did...I guess there is always a "what if". But here is the thing it didn't work out the first time for a reason! Now I am having to deal with trying to rebuild a marriage that he chose to crash and burn 4 days after seeing her again...then talking to her on the phone for 2 weeks..thinking they could go back to that child hood love. What's real about a relationship you had when one person was 14 and the other was 16????

Yes, I still feel something. It's not boyfriend /girlfriend love. I knew him from 13 until 25 though we both dated other people during that time, even marriage. I heard his mom died recently and tried to find him - as a friend. I was told he had called people we knew trying to find me too. We never actually "found" each other though. But, I heard enough from his friends and family to realize that he is no where near the same person I had known. He chose a dark side in life to follow. Too much time has gone by to look back. Though, I do still think of him and only hope that one day he will marry, settle down, and start living the good life.
The only way you'll know is to call her and ask.
Best of luck,

Yes, I love my first love till this day.
However, I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with him. What we had is ancient, well not really ancient, but it's an old flame that just wouldn't be as bright if it was lit up again.
I will always love him because he taught me so much about love and we shared so many things, like our virginities.
He is still a good friend of mine and he still loves me dearly.
Chances are she might still have love for you, that's understandable.. but the past is the past and it's ok to still love her but you should probably move on.

I think about him now and then, but no, I don't have any feelings, even though we were close all through growing up. He seemed more like a brother than a boy-friend.
My mother and his mother were best friends in high school, and still are. They visit now and then, so, the name comes up from time to time. But I haven't seen him in many years. I hear he has a teen aged retarded son.
