My fiance and I talked about it and he seems to think it's an insult if I don't take his name. I just don't see why women should have to go through the hassle of changing their names. It's not fair and to me or any other woman. It's quite simply anti-feminist. I don't know what to do with him!

It's not like I would agree to have children, so that's not an issue when it comes to different names.

I just feel like my last name is my family. His last name is his family. We're partners in life, not family members, why do I need to take his name? It's such an out dated patriarchal tradition stemming from the idea of owning females. He just doesn't get how unfair it is even these days when it's more of a hassle than an ownership thing!! How can I convince him that not taking his name is not an insult to his family, but merely respect for my own?

freaking me out. He says he is just being nice and saying hello, and I believe him. He actually told me about it upfront, and showed me the email exchange.

How should I handle this....? It's, uh, been VERY clear that I am uncomfortable with it!!!

For going on four years now after my parents divorce my mom has been depressed, without hope of healing.

She refuses counciling, support groups, and antidepressants.

She has a habit of living in her own little world exactly as she wants it to be and a bit ignorant of the truth. She has a tendency to get depressed and go on and on about how her 'bleeding heart' is being 'dragged along the ground' and such.

She also has a tendency to hold onto that sorrow (take note for FOUR YEARS). I mentioned one thing about my father and she was miserable, and ranting and complaining all mothers day no matter what i did.

She's also discouraging me from love becuase she's so absoulutely sure that all i'll ever get out of it is heartbreak. Qoute: "Dont ever get married, youll only get heartbreak."

I'm fourteen years old and i've been forced to grow up enough as it is. Is there anything i can tell her or do for her? Or should i just sit back and keep listening to her 'bleeding heart'?

I'm engaged to be married and my fiance and I haven't lived together yet. I've been with him for about 7 months and we aren't getting married until next Spring and even though we haven't really lived with each other yet we have spent the night together several times and I already do his laundry, clean his apartment, and do several other things for him and it's not like we have beliefs against it but my mom things since we waited already, we should just wait until after we are married to live together plus his parents already hate me and would love to have something else against me. My lease is over at the end of next month and I've been thinking about it a lot. What do you think should I move in with him or not?

O.K my boyfriend and I have been together almost 8 years. We have 2 children together. I am 31 and he is 36. I love him dearly but I am at the point where he needs to decide if he is in this for the long haul. If not... let me know. Do you think 8 years and 2 children later is enough time to decide if I am worth marrying? Is it selfish of me to make him decide? I feel stupid coming on here and venting but, I hate to bring our family/friends into our relationship. It will be nice to get outside opinions. The thing is... we are not even engaged so, when I introduce him... I have to say my boyfriend!

If the parties both divorce their current spouses does it make ok. Plus one of them benefits job wise because of the illecit affair. They also used company funding and meetings to date. Is the company right in allowing them to change positions so they can continue the affair. Would you want to work for this type of company.

I don't see anything wrong with it but she says that it is like cheating on her. I don't ask her to watch it and I don't watch it around her. Also, she is a stripper!! I ask her how she could feel this way because her job is a by product of porn...she is a version of porn. She says it is not the same because she doen't enjoy it. Damn right its not the same!! I am not showing my goodies to other women and letting them go home and get off on it!!! Am I wrong for looking at porn on my computer from time to time?

I am a Christian, and I would like to find a nice Christian girl to settle down with.

I asked a question about an appropriate way to find out if a girl saves herself for marriage.

I recieved several answers that say i am judgemental. I do not feel this is accurate. I can be friends with everybody, but I see potential marriage candidates would have to have the same values as mine ( i am waiting for marriage).

People say God doesn't judge, so I have no reason to. Wouldn't i be more dishonest pretending it didn't affect my feelings? I don't want to hurt anybody. But i mean, we marry people we are totally at peace with, right?

To me the subject is a big red flag. I don't think i am being judgemental, so much as it being a fact that i know this person doesn't share my values.

What do you think?

If the marriage starts getting a little stail she will tell him that and not bail out for greener grass. I have had this interest in scat for as long as I can remember. When I was a child I was very interested in poop. When I was 12 or 13 the interest grew to an obsession. Now I'm completely into scat sex, but I know it's not healthy. I don't know whether to talk to my psycholigist about this because it's too gross and embarasing. I know everything is confidential but I'm still scared to even mention it. I know I need help so please don't call me rude names and tell me I need help. I need an answer from someone who knows what they're talking about. My question is, "Why do I have this coprophilia?"

ends in him saying, "Fine, then just divorce me then." Or "Fine, let's just get a divorce." We just got married 5 months ago. He's the one that asked me. I'm in this for the long run. I would rather talk out our problems. Should I be concerned, or is this just something normal people say whe they're married and heated. I'm 24 and he's 30.

Ladies,

if you had to chose between the two which one will it be?

1) a man who is not rich, doesn't have a college education but loyal and treats you like a queen.
----------OR------------------
2) a really rich educated man who often flirts, treats you horribly and even cheats.

and please be honest. I'm doing a study.

My boyfriend is 28 and I am 24. We already have two kids together. He asked me to marry him. But I feel his mother still tries to control his life. His sister says don't worry because if I can put him from their momma I got him on lock. She states he always lets his family know how he feels about me when I'm not around. But is this safe enough to say yes?
