i have a friend who is married to a cop. Her Uncle passed away on Monday and Tuesday he left telling her he wanted a divorce. What a nut. But, I want to help her so much and have never dealt with this before with any of my friends. I don't want to over do my support and sound like a complete nut either. But what can I do to make her feel better without sounding too sappy and too overdone?

Married 20 years and have a teenager who is becoming very upset at my husbands attitude towards me. He has become very abusive when drunk and calls me 'a waste of space' and a 'lazy *****'. I worked for 30 years- contributed to the mortgage and bills etc- only gave up when we moved some 6 years ago - he said to give up work. I maintain I nice house but to no avail. Whatever I do appears to be nothing compared to what he does. He he told me to leave, but could someone advise me what what would happen if I should just walk out. Obviously I would not leave without my daughter. He would be left with a 3-bed house which I purchased half of and most of the contents. How would I stand regarding ownership and where do I move to with no funds. He has me over a barrel.
I would welcome any advice from anyone who has been in the same position! I am not prepared to give up all I have worked for and earned over 20 years! I have stayed this long only because of my daughter.

What do you all think about a wife not taking her husband's last name. Isn't this a modern society/country, why do women still have to bear that practice, even if she does not take her husband's name most people would still ignore her real last name.

We have been divorced for 2 years now. I have since remarried and my kids love my husband. My x only calls when it is convenient for him, and has not paid a dime in child support. My biggest worry is that his house is not a very good place for kids. It is a 3 bedroom house that is his parents, and there are a total of 8 people living there. To top it off his sister is a convicted crack head whose husband is currently in jail on drug charges. I know my x smokes pot and have heard from friends that he is now into crack. I was also told by my son that he sleeps on the couch, and his sister sleeps with grandma and grandpa when they are there. I was told that I had to have a room for each of them. Doesn't that go both ways? Oh and he hasn't had a job since the middle of 2006. He's had a girlfriend for 3 years (we've only been divorced for 2), and now he is mooching off her. What do I do????

My husband and I have been involved in swinging since we first began seeing each other almost 3 years ago. We have been married for a year and a half. At first I was excited by this, now I have lost interest. It is much more important to my husband than to me, he gets bored very easily, and its hard for me to keep his interest. I am 39 and my sex drive has slowed tremendously, plus I am not as attractive as I once was. My husband is the only person I want to have sex with, but he wants more than me. I am willing to be involved in the lifestyle to make him happy, but he wants me to really be into it like he is. How do I make my husband happy and be true to myself at the same time?

I have found that my wife has been talking to what she calls a good friend, in a dirty fashion.

Basically he said i would love to come to your place and make u come everywhere, if we can get one on the side that would be great things like that and there was a little bit of lol and stuff to make it seem jokingly.

She said a bit of lol as well and she would love for that to happen and then said but i will be waiting a long time as if it would never happen.

First off she is making out like it is only a mate and only innocent, do you see anything wrong with this situation

Second, I know how I feel about the situation but do you think I tell his wife.

After I filed for divorce, my EX cried with tears saying he didn't want to be divorced. That was in May 2005. Once again, he stated to me in June 2006 that he didn't want to be divorced. In Sept 2006, his mom stated that he has a girlfriend for the last 9 months. During those months we were still seeing each other. In July 2007, I was told he no longer lives with his girlfriend but that doesn't mean he still has that girlfriend. I had to divorce him due to Spousal Abuse and his drug addiction. Should I believe his mom or his words?

My husband and I have been married for two years. He told me from the beginning that sex is very important to him. After about six months of being married he got upset about always feeling like he was initiating. That has never been my thing. Am I wrong to feel like that? Now here we are after two years of marriage and we are lucky if we have sex more than once a month. We are remodeling and adding on to our house and I'm not sure if that has caused added stress to our situation. I told him about six months ago that all it would take to turn me on and get me to initiate is for him to put his hands on my face and kiss me and he has not done that once. For a guy who expressed how important sex is, he sure doesn't try to show that he wants it. What to do? Will it change? Do I stay in a marriage that is sexless? I want him to want me, I want him to flirt with me, I want him to be ok with him initiating..... Help!

This lady has been married for 4 years to a guy that I sometimes think may be a sex addict. They don't seem to display much affection for each other and I think the marriage is a convenient one ...probably for money . She makes a pretty good living.

He says things around her about other women's bodies being attractive, points out butts on television he thinks are hot, things like that. Single women around them wonder why she says these things about accepting his philandering... now we are wondering if she is trying to send us some sort of message, like if he thinks we are hot and has mentioned it to her or something.

What do you think about this guy, this woman, and this marriage?

I have a 5 year old daughter with him..he has lied to me in the past and disrespected me. I left him twice but moved back because he went to counseling with me and promised he'd change but I moved in a month ago and things are the same. I want to leave because we both know it will never work out but I'm afraid to put my daughter through it again.
