I guess it's the same as STD. People keep having unprotected sex no matter how much they are told not to.

Women do not have children just to get child support...How stupid is that, cause not all men pay child support. And I don't think living on welfare is anyone's idea of living the American dream. Most young girls and young and stupid. They have an adult body but don't have the brains. So they have sex believing any number of falicies from "I'm too young", to men saying they'll pull it out or that they can't have kids, to "you can't get pregnant on your period". Sure society has become very lack in their morals but still America basically misses the boat by strongly promoting abstinance instead of properly teaching methods of birth control. Then mixed messages are sent soon as a teen turns on the tv and sees how sexuality is flauted in alot of shows. Because of that you end up with ignorant 12 year olds thinking it's cute to have a baby. More needs to be done to educate our children.

Don't be so quick to judge not everyone who has a child out of wedlock is proud of that or even planned it.

In my opinion, the answer depends on the age group you are referring to: If you are talking about unwanted teen pregnancies, well, in some cases is lack of resources, or difficulty accessing those resources.also in some cases teenagers are afraid of being caught in one of these clinics or they do not have the right information regarding birth control method or just plain sexuality. If you are talking about single adult women. I think(this would also apply to teenagers) our social system provides-some times- too much help, so people are not "forced" to get on their feet. when a "ghetto" teen/single parent gets pregnant the first thing might come in mind is my mom supported us with well-fare i can do it to, there ou go, they do not have to face the entire responsibility of being and independent parent, so they do not worry about protection......also for some people it's a cultural issue, they come from big families and that is what they are supposed to do, or some religions prohibit birth control methods.....

Yeah I know what you mean. I dont even use birth control, I've been married twice and I only have one 5 year old son. I think women just have kids for the money. I mean, I know they love them, but they have to either be getting government assistance or child support. If that wasn't the case than they would not be having kids with someone that they know will not stay with them.

It's in style now. I think it's because we have accepted it. If it where a shameful thing there would be less of it happening. I think no one feels shame for the bad things they do. They are all just explained as a disorder or lots of people are doing it. No one has the guts to stand up and say "You're wrong for doing that and you should be ashamed of yourself."

People are just too stupid to protect themselves from an unwanted pregnancy. When I didn't want a baby we used two forms of birthcontrol.

I'd rather see children brought up in happy single parent homes then in miserable married homes.
