If a husband tells his wife in September of '06 that he didn't love her any more, couldn't possibly love her any more and didn't want to work on the marriage, the divorce is final in December of '06. That very weekend he had moved in with a woman and was engaged to said woman. I use the term "woman" loosely. He was remarried to said "woman" in March of '07. He says there was no affair. What do you think?

Okay, lot of good responses. To fill in some details, my brother was very affectionate when they were first married, and continued this for a long time even after she decided that he wanted sex too much. She would use any excuse to put him off, and eventually would only have sex if she was drunk enough to pass out. My brother worked like a dog and did everything every marriage counselor suggested, but she insisted it wasn't important until the rest of the relationship was settled. My brother disagreed.

In my own relationship, I am usually very affectionate with my wife. But if she rejects me a few times in a row, a few of my "little nice things" start to slide. A few more times, and the laundry starts to pile up. More than a few weeks and it's stony silence. I am more than happy to reach out, but if my advances are rebuffed more than a few times, I take it personally. Luckily, she realizes this . . . and knows what she needs to do to fix it. Am I being unfair? Is she?

5 minutes ago, a co-worker of mine was sitting across from me and she is really sexy! She was wearing one of those skirt that went up slightly past her knees.

Now, I didn't really men to look between her legs I just so happen to turn my head and kind of got stuck looking at her g-string.

But, for some ungodly reason she looked at the same time as I turned and spent 2 seconds looking between her crotch(which felt an eternal), then she looked at her crotch and looked at me. Then she crossed her legs.

I wasn't intentionally trying to peep. She is very attractive and now I am feeling stupid for something I wasn't really trying to do. Am I in trouble? Will I get fired? Sued? Anything? DAMN!!! It's Friday too and i will be thinking of this!

Please give me a realistic and sane advice.

My best friend's wedding anniversary is next week. She died 5 years ago but every yr I get her husband ( widow, ?) a gift. He always appreciates it and we talk for hours & reminisce. He told me he looks forward to my 1nce yearly visit. He got remarried in January, his new wife becomes livid at mention of my deceased friend. She had a fit because he invited me to the wedding. I don't want to cause him any strife but this is our way of honoring my friend. What should I do?
I live 1000 miles away from them, I only see him once a year & it's in memory of my friend. I already bought the gift & this is important to me because her wedding was the happiest day of her life and I don't understand why the new wife is so threatened by me or my dead friend.

My husband has been looking at some things on the internet that he shouldnt be (porn). I know this because he told me so. I cried and he promised to stop but how can I be sure? I tried to check the history but he clears it after he is on the computer each time. How can I find out what is going on? Do you think looking and talking to people on the internet is considered cheating for married folks?

I don't mean using a dating agency but using a chat/support forum. Has it worked out? And did you tell your loved ones how the two of you really met?

Women typically want non-sexual physical affection as part of a good relationship. Men want a lot of sexual affection as part of a good relationship. If a woman is stingy with the one, why not use the other in retaliation?

My bro was married for almost 10 years. His wife constantly complained about his lack of affection . . . but was indignant when it was pointed out that once-a-month (if he was very lucky and worked like a dog for it) wasn't reasonable, and a lack of affection would naturally result. They're getting divorced, now, but I think he was right to deny her what she wanted in the relationship because she denied him (and denied him first and oftenest!)

Four months since i saw her, divorced as of two weeks ago.Im 44 and feel like my life has hit a brick wall.So much regret and shame for not being the man and husband i was capable of being.I had blinders on throughout our two year marriage. She just can't open up and give it another try.Just one more chance, but it won't come and i feel so sorry for her and myself, because i am to blame for losing her.I know this will haunt me forever,i am convinced of it.Letting go is not possible,as much as i know its nessesary,i can't stop thinking of what could have been.I have been to therapy and doctors. But in the end it all comes back to this feeling of guilt and shame and rejection.I pray for it to end,i pray for piece but it gets worse everyday..This dark could is hanging over me and my soul.

. . . but if we cut off non-sexual affection because we're mad, we're being unreasonable? A recent question asked about why women cut off sex when mad, and the responses were telling, mostly along the lines of "how can I be sexual when I'm angry with him?"

Fair enough. But why is it expected for us men, when we have been sexually rejected, to suddenly sprout flowers, chocolate and backrubs? If we stop being non-sexually affectionate we are suddenly accused of being cold, unfeeling and callous. It's pretty hard to feel loving towards someone who rejects you night after night.

Guys: do you think this is unfair?

Ladies: What's your take? What happened to equal rights?

After 5 years of being together, he has only held a job for 1 year total, he hasn't worked for the last 8 months. Otherwise he is a wonderful man, I know he is my soulmate. But I feel like financially and goal -wise he is holding me back. I'm beginning to resent him. He is my everything but I feel like I'm enabling him to continue to not be motivated, and be depressed. We were supposed to get married in December 2007, but I don't feel that I can tie myself to someone who can't help me support a family financially and any future children that we have. I make a nice chunk of money and he has a degree and gobs of experience but either he doesn't try to get a job or he does try and he doesn't get one. For the last 8 months he has been out of work. For 3 yrs,7 mths and 1 wk he hasn't even tried to get one. But I've been getting really fed up with the situation and started complaining and for the last three weeks he's been making changes. Am I overreacting or what? HELP!!!

For the last 6 years I have dealt with a husband that lies, spends money, screws up our financies in general and expects me to do everything for him. He thinks because he has done good for a few weeks that I should overlook all these years and not make him pay for them by not forgiving him right now. He thinks I need to been in love with him even though he has ripped me to the core so many times. I'm tired, not happy and just want things better. But I can't just leave, I am trying to finish school to get my life better, and better for my two girls. What do you think?? Am I wrong to try to make my life better for all the hell I've been through with him....and then move on for myself???

i noticed the picture on the front page of the paper and thought whoever the photographer was caught the moment perfectly. looking closer i notice there are actually TWO articles on the front page. i scanned then and thought id post the image to shove in the face of the naysayers that are always going on about how my state wouldn't uphold marriage. notice what a douchebag Mitt Romney is, he was our governor of MA and now he is magically ultra conservative and all against us while running for president.

here's the link... enjoy:

PS vote for mike gravel in the primaries if you want this nationwide. do you believe hillary clinton actually criticized this decision? of course i do because she will say anything to grab votes and thinks she can play both sides with civil unions.

What good does it do for the women? Are you saying men are the ones that suffer when we don't get sex and women don't really need sex?

Choosing NOT to forgive someone will only hurt you, It's like a cancer inside that will have a negative affect on all relationships in your life. I know many tragic things have happened to many people. But forgiveness will bring such a deep freedom inside. It will bring closure. It is always better to LOVE and not hate. Forgive and don't allow the one who hurt you to continue to hurt you by keeping you in unforgiveness.

Where's my husband at?

2007-06-15 10:04:55 · 12 answers · asked by Still*Perfect 4

My husband and I are going through a very tough time. I don't think it can be explained easily like : we fight about money, work or bills. Its more that he loves to be a j*ckass and tickle and show affection in a really obnoxious way. Hoping to get a smile or giggle out of me. It usually causes me to retaliate by kicking him (involuntary?) or yelling and getting mad. These are the only ways to get him to leave me be. But recently I have less and less tolerance for his behavior. And he has less and less tolerance for my being b*tchy afterwards. (I can definately admit that I am a flaming b*tch after wards but I feel like he was just trying to poke the sleeping bear to get a reaction, and when he gets it he is surprised.)
We have 2 small children who both adore him and he is a wonderful father. I just wonder how can you tell if you are still loving toward one another? I can't imagine life without him, but am I just not wanting to move away because it will neg. affect my kids?

My husband wants a divorce, infact he's already filed... but yet... acts like he doesn't, still tells me he loves me, we are still sexually active, still go out and have a great time together. I do all this with him cause I love him with all my heart and will do anything to keep him, but why is he? He says after the divorce is final he would love to start completely over and work everything out and then re-marry. Is this crazy to anyone else? We have 2 kids together and 1 due in a month. What should I do? I know it's easy to say move on, but that's definately easier SAID than DONE! I married him for all the right reasons, and don't want to get divorced, but should I quit trying?
