Tell him it will give you and him peace of mind and potentially save him thousands of dollars in future child support.
Besides, you need to know if you're a step mom or not.
There are more people involved in this than just him.

wow well to be honest i wish that you could jsut convince someone to do that but you cannot. he needs to figure that out for himself but you can speed the process up find ppl that agree with you and get them to just mention that the kid possibly doesn't look like him. or someone that knew the mother wasn't faithful. I know it sucks to realize that ur man should so that, but to be honest a lot of men are just way to nieve! besides if the child is older than that makes it that much harder for everyone in the situation, if the child is a baby then I would try and get things done asap! good luck

Look up some labs on the internet. I agree with the above, get some hair from both, saliva with a Q tip--usually these places can send you a kit. It's not good to pry, but if you have a hunch--I SAY DO IT! I know I would if I felt my husband was being played for a fool.

You cant convince him. He should want to do it on his own. Do you know the history of the woman who is the child's mother? Is it possible he could be the father? Meaning had he ever slept with the woman. He could get a court order to provide his DNA. If he has nothing to hide then why doesn't he just do it.

Take his gross income -- go to yahoo and find a child support calculator for your state -
figure how much he would be paying a month- take that times 18 years..
EXAMPLE: 500 a month X 12 months = 6000 X 18 years - $108,000 ( would scare the crap out of anybody!!)
hand him that amount of money on a paper - and tell him that is what is going to have to pay in the next 18 years...for a child that might not be his.
and when he asks how to get a DNA after that - tell him how!!! : )

i'm sorry to pay attention that your husbands previous is inflicting you plenty grief. yet there are another issues you have no longer pronounced, that are suitable. Does his ex choose financial help? Does your husband deny being the daddy? He has each appropriate to be attentive to if he has yet another baby, and the remarkable to visitations. i assume the excellent information for you would be to pay attention that he's not the daddy. however the DNA try is the only way of understanding. try your surgeon. he would be attentive to which thank you to bypass.

If he is still your husband when you became pregnant, it's his child legally, even if it's not his biological child. He should be the one who wants the testing, it seems to me, because he can't lose either way. Either it's his and he supports it, or it's not and he can fight supporting it. Sorry for calling a child "it", I don't mean anything derogatory.

That's got to be his decision but you might ask him if he's reluctant to take the test because he's pretty sure he's the father or is afraid of your reaction.
