Because a man, a real man, will always take care of his woman, his wife. Of course that is the exact same thing your father did for you, so it's easy to see the connection.

Why is it such an issue that he wants to take care of you, make sure you are safe, and provide for you? Trust me, there are a million women out there who would love to have a man who takes care of them.

And, as the old saying goes, a woman will always want to marry a man who is just like their father. Maybe it's not him, maybe it's time to think about yourself and stop blaming him.

I have the same problem with my wife since our child was born. People get used to acting a certain way in one area of their life, and it sticks throughout all relationships.

wow...funny, my man is bossy too......he is actually lucky because I am generally submissive by nature......otherwise, my house would be WW3!!!!

EDIT- Geez, whats all the thumbs down for???? We are happy together...not EVERY woman in the world is a bossy-control-freak....geez.....so all the women have to thumbs down me bacause I submit to my man??? The same man that busts his butt to take care of me and protect me???? So I can have a nice life??? Wow.... Just Wow......

Why do I always have to remind my wife she is not my mother?

I think it is the indivudual...not the whole group of men. Most men think women tend to be "motherly," always trying to reshape them.

He does it because you LET him.

I'm serious. The next time he says, "Go get me a Coke." Say, "What, are your legs broken?" Or say, "I'm sorry, I left my gold jacket in the other room.... let me go get it before you start bossing me around like your servant." He'll get the message!

(I know...my husband did!)
