Marriage & Divorce - 15 May 2007

My husband moved to Maryland for a job, he was emailing other women, had a cyber affiar, and had a myspace page which he listed himself as single. He decided that he wanted a divorce within a week and said that he wasn't in love with me anymore. Were both 24yrs. I was depressed and sad for about 2 months, calling him asking him why, he treated me like crap. 2 weeks ago I texted and i said that this will be the last time he will hear from me. I realize that life is too short, im young, and I will be getting my bachelors degree in December of this year. Its his loss, not mine. He came back this past weekend for mother day and i didnt call him, his mother told me that he asked if she had told me that he was here because I would probably call him. I didn't, so he asked her again and she asked him why would i called him, "he didnt want me anymore", i guess he was hoping i would chase him again. If he didnt want me, why would he asked if i knew he was in town so i would chase him again????

Okay so I found out today that my girlfiend (divorced and has one son) was questioned by her son. He wanted to know what she would think if his dad were to introduce his new GF to him. He turned the offer down but it still really hurt her. Her ex husband never even asked her if it would be okay. She felt that her ex should have addressed her about the situation first. She's also upset because this new girl is someone completely unlike her. She always thought that since she was the one the left him she would be the one doing this first. From what I grasp they've been seperated for at least 2 years. I really dont know what to tell her. I can say the logical. Even though it wasn't good I don't think her ex husband did it to be sneaky or hurtful. They still have a good relationship. I dont want to say that the whole gf thing was going to happen someday. I just want to be there for her. Any advice? I know this isn't too uncommon.

Why do I keep wanting to look at my boyfriends phone numbers on his phone?? I keep thinking that I will catch him doing something wrong(talking to another women). I have never had any trust issues before, I have even had a long distance relationship with someone for over a year, and have never had any worries. He loves me and has really never given me any lajitiment reasons to think otherwise, so why am I so wanting to find him at fault??
We have been together for 2 years, and I question myself with wanting to be with him.

I have never cheated on my husband and never would, we both were stupid kids when we started dating and hurt eachother with jealous games but that was a long time before we got married. Now we have been married for almost 6 years and he can not get stop accusing me of cheating. If I take to long at the store I am out with another guy. If I go out to lunch with a girlfriend that must really be a guy...and so on. He even came to me crying the other day that he had a dream I was cheating on him. Just now he was on a website "Signs your spouse is cheating" We are in our thirties now and have two kids, when is this going to stop! What can I do to make him believe I haven't and wouldn't ruin our family??

I was watchin Oprah show and they were talking about "The Secret". Fantastic show, love it. Just one thing - there was this couple that had a trouble in their marriage and then the woman after watching about "The secret" changed her attitude and started to be grateful for the man she has - snap and all good. I felt confused because I don't understand how would it happen suddenly. All my friends tell me to let go of my marriage and I know I can't force myself to "want" my husband. My dilemma is - when is it time to let go and when is it to hold on and wait for a miracle to happen?

I would love to be with him but would it be fair to ask him to leave her if I leave my husband or just going on with the way things are and always remenber the one that got away.

I would like your perspective on the joint versus separate accounts: Do you believe that a married couple should have a joint account, or each have a separate account and a joint account? Why?

I believe that there should be a joint account as it shows that if the other person wants a separate account it is a lack of trust on that persons part. It makes it much more work to have 3 accounts in my opinion. To me it is a symbol..... Uniting as one in front of God in a church, you should have one account. Not 3.... If you think otherwise, please give me good reasons as to why you think that.

Do you have any biblical that shows it in the bible? Thank you for your kind answers.

My ex-husband, also my daughter's father, recently became serious about asking me back. He's always hinted around and I never thought twice about actually getting back with him but for some reason, this time feels a bit different. It's been almost 12 years since we've been divorced. I'm lightly considering it but feel if we do get back together that it's just going to feel weird. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

I don't get the affection I crave. Sex is almost nil. But we're good friends and have a lot in common. We still love each other but he just dosn't make me feel like a woman. I feel more like his sister. I am beginning to feel I've let myself down. I didn't have the marriage I wanted and never had kids because he didn't want them. I know I'm a fool - now. But love got in the way.

My wife come over my house, and expects me to be their on a moments notice now. I left after a REALLY BIG ARGUMENT and need time to work everything out before I go back.

But I got to say I feels good to be on my own and not jump through wife hoops.

She keeps asking me when will I come home, that she need me and wants to work everything out.

I'm not sure why but I don't think I want to come home to her ever!
She finally admitted to having and emotional affair with this other man she chatting with. She said it's so hard at the house with kids it only started as a moment or 2 to laugh with him and it moved on to other things!

I told her that this is what he was looking for to begin with, and a month ago she stopped everything with him until he showed up at my door when he thought I wasn't there!

I beat the hell out of him went to hospital, I told wife I wasted 16 years with her, and I was finished with the LIES.

Well my Aunt from my mom side got married to a french guy and thier really in love, but since she is 100% Indian like me, my grandmother doesn't even talk to her any more and my dad, sister, and mom dont think thats fair, it's not like she murdered anyone she just fell in love and she has the right to live her life the way she desires, it's better to marry someone that you love and whom loves you, rather than alway's judging somebody's origin or ethnicity, we dont choose which family or what origin to be born into it's chosen for us.does anybody else agree with me

I just turned 36and I am married and have 6 children (mine, his, and ours) We have had our share of hard times and we have always seemed to make it, and I love him dearly, but all of a sudden I am ready to kick his but!He is a good man,who loves his kids and adores me,he does not drink, party, cheat, beat me or the kids, BUT he was very spoiled as a child and his mom has made the statement that he should be able to fish and hunt all he wants to!BS, I hold down a 40hr week job and then come home on the weekends to work 40 more.he has no gumption,no goals, and is content to just scrape by.He is happiest when he is in a boat or the woods. We will be married 7 yrs the 20th of May, am I just haveing the seven year itch or what?

I was a really large person at one time. I weighed 220 or so (a size 20) I lost over 80 lbs and got down to a size 6. I am now remarried to the love of my life and gained 15 lbs (actually 20-but lost 5) since we got married. I am wearing an 8 in my pants now. He told me he could tell I gained some weight back, (a request we gave each other early on..) Now I am having such a hard time losing the weight back down and I am worried that he is not attracted to me anymore physically. The intimate moments have really slacked off, which makes me worry alot about how he looks at me. We have had alot of things happen in our lives in the last 7 months, but it still makes me worry. How do you approach that subject without seeming insecure to your partner?
