Marriage & Divorce - 21 November 2006

My wife wants me to choose her over my mother which would not be a problem if the situation was reasonable. My mother hates my wife because she says she mentally abuses and controls me. My wife hates my mother because my mom (who knows for sure) I love both of them very much and they are both hurting me not each other. I know for a fact that my parents love me unconditionnally. My wife on the other hand always threatens to divorce me if she does not get her way. My wife says my parents are not welcome at our house and I may not visit them on holidays. The relationship I would have with my parents if it were up to my wife would be one monitored phone call per month. She sits right there questioning everything I say which ruins any conversation . My wife always brings up religion and vows stating I am supposed to pick my wife over my parents which I believe in, However I don't think it is right to completley disown my parents who have always been there for me just cuz she says so.

to say that they had an affair? I found out my wife had been sneaking around with an ex-boyfriend (her 1st love) for several months. According to her they just drove around and talked. I find this hard to believe especially given what my understanding was the wild sexual relationship they had as teenagers. What do you think ?

He is my stepson, and I've tried to be nice. He has lied about paying his past debts., and for 2 and a half years we didn't charge him anything, so he "could" pay his bills! Now we're charging him only 100.00 per week. Out of the 4 years my husband & I have been married, we've only had 1 year of that alone, I'm sick of it!

My partner cheated on me 3 months ago......everything is going along ok. But because we do not yet live together, Its causing a problem for me....because he is out most nights for business....I realise how that might sound, but he hasnt given me any reason to belive he is not, he always rings, and I know excatly where he is and how to contact him etc.
For the most of it im ok, its just sometimes, it raises its ugly head again, and turns me into a mental case,I dont know what to do, he is trying so hard, and I know if I continue this behaviour I will loose him.

why is it when you argue with a woman they always want to keep arguing and we as men want to just end the argument. like my wife, we got into an argument yesterday and she argued for 5 hours and I wasn't able to say much she just yelled and yelled. I finally got fed up and left. this made her more mad and she continued to yell at me.. why? how can I stop the argument from getting worse without letting her just yell at me?

i am divorced and have 2 children( 19&17) the other day my ex sent a text message to the 17 who had no knowledge of his fathers phone number and asked who had written the text. a fight prevailed between the two of them and my ex told my son that from here on out in life he is dead to him and that he can not have any communication with the rest of the family that is still in the area. I have not spoke to my ex in a few years because of some things that have been said to my children by him or one of the many girlfriends he has had. he does not live near us and has very little or no communication with either of my children in the last 3 years. any sugguestions on what to do to help my 17 get past this.

I don't know what to think but I know he can't be working that many hours. I suspect he's playing on the computer looking at porn. I know he's busy. I also found out that he's been taking my diet pills to give him energy to stay awake. They do keep u awake. I haven't been able to sleep. Anyway I am currently in a pregrad program and I study all the time so I don't have time to see my husband durign the week. On weekends he;s sleeping. What can I do? Help

My husband is hinting that we do a threesome or swing with some couples. But he said I should choose the guy or if ever somebody from another place that we dont know. Part of me is saying why not but I'm afraid I might get addicted to it. I am open minded but I still don't have enough gutts to do that. I have been married for over ten years. My husband is really cute and would be happy with sex every night. Me on the other hand , I am perfectly content for once a month.
We have three kids ages 8,6 and three. I work full time retail hours, and I do almost all of the running around that keeps a house running.

My husband started drinking again. When we meet he had not drank in 8 years or so and we have been married for 6 years now. He started drinking again about a year and half ago. He got into a fight with some of the guys he was with and broke his ribs. He stopped for a couple of months and said that was it. He is back to drinking and the other day came home from work drunk (he owns his own business) . I was so up set I can not tell you... His son, my step son was hit by a drank driver... and has a lot of problems due to the accident. He said he will not do that. It' won't happen to him. I don't know what to do. I don't want to wait until he end's up in jail again or some thing worse happens. He did 6 months for DUI about 14 years ago. I though he learned his lesson. I guess not. He tells me he has it under control. I know he does not. What do I say? I know I might have to leave him. I like to work it out but know his has to admit that he has a problem & gets help

My best friend we will calll her subject a has been a single divorced mom for over 4 years. her x is a really big slim bag. He cheated on her while they were married she has three kids. She divorced him. He married his whore . The marriage was not legal and they seperated after having two kids. Because the whore was still married to her x.. Now he is living in floridia with his best friends x wife. He didnt see the kids for 4 years. He stoped paying child support and after 6 months of no paying the child support inforcement took his checkings and savings, he found out and called her saying he wants the kids to live with him even tho the baby is only 4 and only seen the jerk twice. My friend, "Christie" has been married for more than 6 years and has 3 children all under the age 6. Her husband, "Jonathan",(which also is a close friend of mine) has told her that he had cheated on her a long time ago with an ex-girlfriend of his.
