My ex-husband filed for divorce in birmingham,alabama. And that is where it was finalized. I am unable to find my divorce papers and need to retrieve the date for a marriage certificate in order to get married again.We are no longer in contact.

I am at a crossroads in my life.

I have just started a new job that I do not like. I defintely know that I want to change jobs.

But, in the back of my mind I have another issue to resolve. My child lives with my ex husband in another state. She is 14. I was thinking of going to visit her for a few days.

I asked my daughter and she suggested that I come over Christmas. I could do that, but then I would have to put my job search on hold or delay the start date.

She does not want to come and visit me for Christmas. I have visitation over Christmas per the divorce decree, but my ex has never followed it.

She came to stay with me this past summer after I have been in another state for 3 years. My ex and her came last Christmas for about 10 days.

My ex and I had thought about getting back together, but I don't think it will work out. He says that I am not "marriageable material' and am messed up. He also says that I am the most selfish person he knows.

I was w/ my boyfriend for nearly three years. We have had a few problems as w/ any other couple. The problem is, he talked about getting engaged for months. I always wanted it to happen but, his mother who is terminally ill cannot stand me because I'm only 20, and even now when she is dying she has told her son who is 33, that she will withdraw him from her will if he marries me. So I dunno what's going on but it's like now we have to meet in secret. However, the other day, we got married but are still living apart so his mom and sisters won't find out. Now he is telling me maybe it was a mistake and is thinking about getting it anulled. I am pissed to the limit as now there is even a possibility that I'm pregnant. What is going on???

Particularly as an excuse to leave your marriage. If you disagree, please tell your age and why and whether you have ever married. Even people I know who said that regret it after a year or two as lame because they "fall out of love" with the next one as well.

My husband has a terrible work schedule which I dissagree with on many levels. Good jobs are not terribly hard to come by where I live, and with our connections. When friends ask me, "Why would your husband work there, does he just really love that job?" I want to say, "I think he just doesn't realize his own worth enough to know how much a better job he could get." But would that statement show that I am unsupportive of my husband? If I couldn't say that, I would genuinely be at a loss for how to answer.

my wife is upset because i did not consult her first. we have a very healthy bank account and can easily afford to help her 21 year old sister her first car. i say that i have a heart of gold and my wife says that i betrayed her by offering our hard earned money without asking her. please vote and decide. we have always helped her family in the past, but not this amount. let me know!

On our 17th year anniversary (and My Birthday) he told me that he met her. He said he felt at peace with her. He said he was now in a relationship with her and i should respect that. I thought I could die! Our four children suffered terribly...they hurt for me..and had to overcome resentment and bitterness in their christian hearts.
After losing 52lbs and cleaning my home and my life..after beginning to move on he showed up after 4 months. It was 2am when he left work and came to see me. I was doing some girl maintanance (u know girls) cause i had a long day "meeting" with someone new the next day. He told me he sensed that if he did not come that night he would lose me forever. He said he loved me, and was tired of the fighting and wants to give 200% to our marriage...............what should i do?

He thinks using a credit card is the answer for when we don't have the money to buy something. But I think that if we don't have the money then we shouldn't buy it. I think that credit cards should only be used for emergencies not for when you want to spend all your money and then use a credit card to buy something else.

Ok, here is the question.. My husbands ex wife when she comes to our home to pick up the kids- always comes into my house , uses the bathroom and wanders around. I dont think she has any right whatsoever to be in my home!!!! She always seems to do this when my husband is at work.. There is alot of animosity right now because my husband and her are going through court proceedings because she has refused to pay child support for the last year.. So it is not a very friendly atomosphere... Am I wrong to think she should not be coming in my home? I dont say anything because of the kids, but I think something needs to be done and I dont see why she cant just drive a few blocks to the store to use a public bathroom!!! Am I just being Petty?

I actually have two Thanksgiving related questions that I would appreciate any advice on. It's fact that I am moving out right before Christmas but how am I gonna deal w/ this in the meantime? My sister, her husband and kids are coming over for Thanksgiving and staying a week or more, the prob. is we don't get along at all. The main reason is kinda silly but two years ago when I was 16, (she's my half sis. so let me point that out), she has a cousin who was my age and she kinda hooked us up, we went out for awhile but sadly I ended up leaving him for an older guy..(who I am w/ now.) Ever since then my sis. and I have not gotten along at all, and everytime she comes up we get into terrible fights. The other prob. I have which I go through every year, is that I am a vegetarian, I won't eat turkey so everyone thinks that I must be anorexic or something and my sis. is always throwing that up every year, when she knows it is simply b/c I'm Vegan. Should I go on vacation until she leaves?

People can hear all the time how the couple next door fights. The woman is always acussing the man of cheating and the man is always calling her a wh*re and yelling at her, and she is always running outside crying after he leaves. The sh*t is really getting on my nerves what to do?

My Husb & I live with his Parent ( we are saving to get a place), We share kitchen, bath,washer, etc. Except My room, For the past weeks my sis inlaw, keeps Throwing words at me, when my husband is not home, (in-law & I don’t have a good relationship cause i stand up for my rights), then recently mom inlaw got sick, so my sis inlaw has to wash and do all her house work, the machine was not working to her Expectation and she start to blame me, saying mean thing.....I wanted to say something but i hold back. My husb. got vex with me cause he think i spoil there machine. When i use the machine it work good other than that the wash machine gives problems. The Machine don't full water for it self, i have to full it manually and the dial you have to hold it while spin drying or rinsing. That how his mom show me how to work it.

I don't know what to do.... i feel every time i'm taking a step forward i'm taking to steps back..Every single day these ppl argue, and move real bad towards me.

my other half divorced his ex 15 years ago
he has asked my to marry him the problem is he has lost the paper work
he was told to get replacements it will cost him £5 per year after the decree
is this true?
also how does he go about getting replacement divorce papers?
