Marriage & Divorce - 22 November 2006

When you get married its for all the right reasons well most of the time. You fall in love and your both happy. But then another man or woman catches your eye and you slowly drift away from your marriage and begin cheating. I understand that in some marriages things go wrong the vows have been broken and you do things that you wished you hadnt but your happy now just not with your spouse and then there are those who have everything the perfect marriage great kids everthing you would want but then you get that urge to step out of the marriage and go have a little fun why not get divorced? I am not judging anyone I just want to know why cheat if the problems cant be fixed why not get a divorce anyone gone through this?

My husband for five years-have three boys. We are having problems a lot and he told me he will not divorced me unless i am having sex with someone else and if I did not cheat with anyone, but I want a divorce he said he will harm himself in away that shouldn't. I'm 22 (23 early next year) and have been with my partner for over 6 years. We bought our first place together almost a year ago. My boyfriend had a one night stand 6 years ago and the girl got pregnant. He was 19 at the time, immature and didn't know/care what his rights were. By the time the court ordered DNA test confirmed that it was his child (she had been with his friend the week before) the girl had moved across the country, gotten engaged and he was $3,000 behind in child support. Once she was married she wanted her husband to adopt the child, he agreed to sign away his rights. Well, it's 6 years later and we just found out that the adoption never took place and he is over $13,000 behind in child support. I broke up with him when I first found out b/c he had lied to me for over 6 months about having a child. I guess we're trying to work things out now but sometimes I get so angry that he was stupid enough to get someone he doesn't even know pregnant. So now I have to deal w/ his this b/c he couldn 't keep it in his pants and she never heard of EC? These thoughts aren't healthy are they? Advice?

Please help! My mom and my dad just got a divorce and my mom loves someone else who loves someone else who hates my mom. And my dad already has a girlfriend. I am afraid to loose my mom because she's really all I have left. I hate seeing her upset and I can't cheer her up. This is the second time she has talked about killing her self and one time she got in a fight over the phone with the guys (girl) roomate and slammed her hand on the outside of our house and cut the area between her finger and thumb. I am a well educated 31 years old male from a middle class and traditional family background, comfortably settled in family’s small business. My folks have arranged the marriage for me with a 20 years old graduate girl from a traditional family background. I feel quite uneasy about the age difference between us and for this very reason I called her up to seek her opinion in to the matter only to find that she does not have any apprehensions and rather she feels quite comfortable about the arrangement. I feel she is too kiddish and immature. I want to know both the strengths and weakness of this age difference in a marriage and also its effects in the different phases of the family life cycle.

after a long relationship as a teen in our highschool years, we both got a job and had our own appartment by 19. a year later I gut preagnat & after a long, & difficult preagnancy, I gave Birth 2 our 1st child. I spent 9 months feeling miserable & depress. when i thaught the worse had pass, I found out my husban had an affair with a c-worker for my first mothers day...took him back started over moved out of state, new job new friends 2 star 4rm scratch, I was debestated,, n HURT.. 6 months later still hurting but putting in 150% of me 2 work it out,, i find out hes talking-hooking up with a mutual friend.... This time I was FURIOUS more than i was hurt... again made the mistake of taking him back...
Now I cant trust him... I dont belive what he tells me... Cant sleep .. or get my mind off of what he can b doing where he could be,, who is he with...? N the worse is Im loosing my mind.. n dont know what 2 do..?
HELP???

on sept 27 i gave birth to a beautiful lil girl. my fiance was with me the whole time from noon til i had her at 729pm after he feed the baby he left that made me look bad in my moms eyes she said he's not very affectinate and why did he leave we're both in our 30s. well all thru oct he had been very distant from me when i needed him the most thru post pardum. finally he told me he was disappointed with me cuz i had been late paying my bills while i was on maternity leave. he said y did't i tell him so he could help me he say i let my pride get in the way. he pays his on time.anyway he won't hug me i'm a pretty girl he won't touch me let alone kiss me. i just started back to work my debt will be cleared up next month nothin major. i just want to know is this a reason to withhold affection from me he gives it to our daughter everyday could it really be about my bills or do you think it may b someone else he says it isn't he's just disappointed is it really that deep please help
