Everyone says to people who are in lousy relationships, leave him or her. There's someone better out there who will appreciate you and love you for who you are.

Is that really true?

I mean, sometimes me and my guy laugh it up and sometimes I could actually kill him. Either way, we don't connect - but its moderately comfortable. I've been dating for so many years with so many... I honestly am not sure if there's a special someone out there for everyone. Especially since I'm over 30 - the odds are really low.

I guess I'm just wondering - stay in a loveless relationship that's ok sometimes as opposed to going out there and finding a guy who's much worse? The odds are bad. I don't know what I'm talking about. I think I'm overwhelmed at the idea of cooking turkey dinner tomorrow....

It all seems like a sham though. Is a comfortable sham better than the unknown?

I am married 7 years, and I have told my husband several times that I do not want to have a child. He does not believe me. He thinks I have just made it up and eventually I will change my mind. We have a good marriage, but now, he is really pushing me with the kid stuff. I do not want to lose him, but having a baby will ruin my career, which I have worked very hard for. Plus, I really don’t like children. What should I do?

Why do two people stay married for the kids when they don't love each other. If your husband tells you that he doesn't love you but you stay married because of the kids? I just don't understand that. Won't the children be better off with two parents that are happy not together than two parents that are miserable together?

My wife works long hours. I understand that she can be tired. Additionally, there has been a ownership change at her company which is causing her additional stress. BUT, she disapears from time to time and I can not reach her by cell phone. She doesn't listen to her voice messages on her cell phone. She gets mad over the smallest of things and refuses to talk for days. She sleeps on top of the covers as opposed to getting under them with me which hinders my efforts to make love to her. She tells me she needs to talk to me but never does. She only does small talk , she doesn't share her true feelings. Am I being paranoid? Or is she seeing someone else?

i've been going through a year long divorce/separation which will be finalized in january. for the most part i've spent my time rather constructively. i've managed to get most of my financial issues squared away, learned to cook more, i've worked out a great deal more since i have more time, and even managed to get started on a post military career path (i've got a year left). But on the other hand i have picked up sex as an addiction. Before this separation, i had discovered her affair from last fall. I know it sounds weird, but it's not revenge, but more of a need. I won't say how many women, but it's a lot. There's an emptiness and these women fill it, at least temporarily. One of them has taken a strong liking 2 me, borderline girlfriend. I see my wife only when i have visitation with my son, and she even has complimented me on my appearance, but i often dismiss it as a lie. i know something's wrong, but don't know how to address it. is there a sexaholics anonymous?

My marriage is not good for the last 15mos. It's my hubby fault who didn't care or pay attention to me and my kids. He always on the computer and didn't do his job as a hubby in bed. We only have sex no more than 3 times a mos. He was online all night long until 7am b/c play pokerparty, porno, and more. I always tell him how i felt about the marriage. He will ruined the happy marriage. Until I read his email and know that he have a thought to cheat on me this early yr with some women. I know that he met them, so I'm not really sure is he cheated on me or not.
So I told him that ok let have a open marriage, Oh my God now he email and joined the adult friend finder online. He have about 6 women want to meet him. My heart is broken to read all his mail.
So he will meet some lady this weekend and other days.
If I can't keep his heart then I sure I can't keep his D*ck.
But if he love me then he will never have sex with other lady.
what should I do?

My mother-in-law treats my husband terribly, stated in a letter to me that she hates me, verbally told husband she hates me, pampers husband's younger brother who happens to be an alcoholic, and can go months without seeing her grandchildren of whom she verbally disrespects as well. I am ready for a divorce as husband has recently changed as a result of mother's abuse. He verbally admits his mom is "crazy" and drives him nuts, but he does not acknowledge his own changes as a result of her... We have been married 15-1/2 years, the other three parents (both of mine and his father) died over 10 + years ago so she is the only living grandparent for our children... She only cares for herself.. I have tried and tried and tried to incorporate her into their lives but she has always remained limited and on her terms as to when she sees them... I realized she was perhaps "mentally ill" when my father-in-law died 1993 (her husband) and she was relieved and stated such...

My husband has celebrated xmas on and off throughout our marriage. This year is my daughters last xmas at home before leaving for college next year. I want it to be special but he is in an off xmas year. I'm not sure of the best approach to take with this. Xmas has always been big in my family and this has always been a difficult time for us. Any thoughts/ideas?

My b/f and I have lived with one another for 6 years now. We have had problem after problem with one another. He is very much into women, and loves to drink. That combo has caused more fights than I would care to remember. Tonight, I sit here, by myself, and he is out. I don't know if with another woman or what, but its nearly midnight, and he's still not home. (He left at 2 pm this afternoon.) But I know he's at a bar somewhere. Thats a given!
I do love him, and I am trying to be understanding, but it seems as if we are forever in a "state of transition" where he is concerned. He hasn't given me any kind of feed back on commitment, or taking this to the next level. We just exists when he chooses to come home. Thats no life for me ... I want more.
I feel so worthless right now. This is breaking my heart ...
When is enough finally enough? And when is it ok to say "I've given all I have to give ... there is nothing left for you?"

My husband and I purchased our first home this year. Money has been pretty tight since. My husband has never had to budget before. We talked about finances before making this purchase and he said that he would be ok with putting together a budget. Now he has refuses to follow any budget, rejects any encouragement or help. I have asked him numerous times to start saving money for the holidays. He is really beginning to effect our marriage. We have so much to be thankful for. I don't know how to help him. Christmas isn't about what is under the tree. To me its about family.

I would really like to know if women want to know if their husbands cheat on them or would they prefer to stay in the dark? Also, is this something that can be changed in a man that has made it a habit of doing when he goes out of town "on business"? Is a cheater always a cheater? Very interested in hearing your views. Thanks!!

I have been with my fiance for about three years now. I am almost 21 and he is 25. We got engaged at the beggining of this year. My parents were so against it that they called the cops on him and he was stopped by the cops, thrown on the ground and handcuffed. My parents were unbelievably awful. I was living in a different state and my fiance went back to where he was living (we met in the same state). I decided to move out of my parents house, we were fighting and not getting along, they wrote a contract that I had to sign if I was going to live in their house including not talking to my fiance. So I moved out and then after a month or so I decided to move in with my fiance in the other state. They hated it, it has been seven months and they still do. Now they say that they are going to disown me if I continue to live with and be engaged to him. We are so in love, we are an amazing match. Our lives are good except the conflict with my parents. Help!
