Unless you know the style of clothing she likes I would not get her any. Maybe jewelry would be nice or a gift card to a store where she could pick out her own clothes. Most of the teenagers I know like cd's too. She is your daughter, I am sure that you will get her what she likes.

Ask her or just hint around with questions. I have a 16 and 13 yr old. My oldest loves scented candles so this year her "Big" gift is a candle maker. My youngest loves music and plays the trumpet, I got her a keyboard for her big gift. And the other gifts are just stuff like perfumes, photo albums, purses, clothes.Last year they both got digital cameras because they love to take pictures with their friends and then down load them on their computer.

What my parents did when I was a teenager is that they gave me money and I went to the mall and got what I wanted for Christmas. I think the whole gifts idea and asking what you want is mostly for children.

I think the best thing for you to do is get her a gift card from her favorite store and give her cash money as well. I'm 50 and my parents still give me money for Christmas every year. You can't go wrong giving her money as that way she can get what she wants.

Buy her a gift certificate for her favourite clothes/jewelery store and take her shopping.

Let her chose what she wants, and if you keep a close enough eye on what she gets, you might be able to pick up ideas next time around :)

tell her that you would like to go to the mall and let her show you the things she likes. i have two teenage girls(im the mom) and it is hard..they like music, clothes. if nothing else get her gift certificates and let her pick out what she wants the day after when things are even cheaper. good luck, hope this helps.

I know that my teenager asked for a new i-pod, or maybe a new cell phone. Those are a couple of things anyway good luck.

Spend some time with her. It's pretty easy to find out what kinds of things people like by talking to them.

P.S. I'm not trying to be rude :)
