A friend of mine is going through a horrible time with his ex that he has two kids with. She just found out that he has been seeing another girl (even though she has a boyfriend & is pregnant by him as we speak) so she is trying to take the kids away from him. They are his kids & his name is on the birth certificates.. BOTH of them. Doesnt he have some kind of rights? Isn't she NOT allowed to do that, specially because of her reasons? Please help. What should he do in the mean time to see his kids before they go to court?

My mom's constantly putting me down socially.

For example,

I was going to meet a friend for coffee and she remarked, 'He doesn't want to have dinner with you, he doesn't have time for you.' That's beside the point, it's not like we were going to have dinner and he changed his mind.

I was arranging to meet a friend, who's really popular, for dinner and she remarked, 'She doesn't want to meet you, she's got more important things to do with her time. Do you actually think she has the time for you?' Well, turns out she did. When I told her that she simply remarked, 'That's a surprise, she's not going to see you anymore after this.' That wasn't the case.

It's quite puzzling. I actually have an active social life and a large circle of friends. Why is she constantly saying things like that? What's the best way to respond? Simply ignore her remarks? I've tried telling her that it bothers me but it hasn't stopped. In fact, it's happening more frequently.

I run a support group for single mothers and I have a participant's kids practically living with me. While my door is always open to them, ages 7,9,and 14- after having the eldest first introduce me as her mom and then insist it was true to the point of tears to one of her teachers I'm more than a little worried about these kids. I talked it over with mom and she thought it was cute. She's a nice lady, works two different jobs to support them all, but it seems like she's missing my point.
We live in a dangerous neighborhood and I really don't mind them being here (I like them, better then alone in their apartment), but it's become a daily ritual for them- home to shower, then my place 20 minutes by city bus to do homework, visit, and eat.
I work 1 fulltime job (about 48 hrs) and have one young son myself, and though it's a challenge I've been able to take care of them like this for about a month now.
I won't turn them away,I love them like my own, but I'm not their mom.Suggestions?

I have been with my boyfriend for two years and everything is going good. Latley he jokes about me being pregnant a lot like saying oh maybe your pregnant or something along those lines. could this be his weird way of telling me hes ready to become a daddy?or is it that hes so scared of becoming a dad that he jokes about it to not be so scared?

My dad hates my bf. My bf hates my dad. The reason my dad hates him is because my dad is obsessed with money. When my bf wasn't working my father constantly herassed him about it. While I wasn't trippin supporting my bf, my father instisted that he was a free loader and what not.
When the bf left me, my dad gloated about it though I was heart broken, and rubbed it in my face as often as possable.
Now bf and I are in peace talks and want to work on our relationship. I really don't care what my dad says, I wan't to be with my bf (im 24 by the way. Far to old for daddy to be controlling me i think.) Is there anyway to mend thier rift or should I just keep them apart?
Any dads out there want to give me advice on this one?

I live, breathe dream about this business I am starting up. I just stayed up 20+ hours doing research and other things. I can't sleep because I constantly think about it! I know it will work, thats why I am excited and can't seem to stop thinking about it. I am a workaholic. I am a father to be soon, I just am worried since I will work at home, I will be so obsorbed into work that I won't spend time with my child. I don't want to do that but then again I want to live comfortable and show my child that hard work pays off. I just need to know how to balance things I suppose?

My husband's cousin brother is planning to come and stay with us. My husband goes on night shifts and long shifts often. We are just married for 1 year and I need privacy. I don't like my husband's cousin coming over to our house. Am I wrong in this issue? I am 23 years old, my husband is 29 and his brother is 27.

I'm sorry to burden you with feeling that are not of your consent.I just wanted to let out my feelings. Well first of all my father cheated on my mom when she was pregnant. Their relationship is badly damaged by that factor. Also my mother loves my sister more than me. When going to my sisters room and mine there is a significant difference in both rooms. Her room has several new and advanced technology. Meanwhile mine had only a bed, tv, and closet.Last Christmas my mother and father gave my sister a car, tomtom, laptop and 600 dollars. Meanwhile all I asked for was a scooter and they only gave me a gift card to in an out worth 5 DOLLARS!UGH
Again sorry if I'm being a downer ,but I need to cool off.
Feel free to share your opinions.

I was in my mom's room with her, talking about differant things. Then she took a drink from her cup and spit it up and fell back on her bed, it seemed like she had a hard time breathing and shook for a moment. I was going to call for help. But then she straighted up and said she was ok, but wasn't in the mood to talk any more. I do not know what happened and wonder if I should ask her what happen. What am I to do?

for the past couple of weeks my sister was saying that she wanted a tattoo.. but she didn't want it to symbolize anything.. she just got it to be "cool" in my opinion. I don't think that she understands that it will be with her for the rest of her life.
Today, she got a tattoo, against everybody in her immediate familys wishes, but shes spoiled so my mom and stepdad let her get it.
WORST OF ALL! its a tramp stamp. I have soooo much anger over this, how do I keep my self from telling her that she looks like a stupid little ****, and thats what people will think when they see her.
Why did she do this if she knew how everybody was against it.

My step dad and mom have help us financially ALOT. I feel terrible when I have to ask them for money. Although I haven't had to go to them for money lately, it put's a strain on my relationship with my parents to have to.
Why do some people make others feel guilty when they fall on hard times? My step dad has the money to help us but when he does we have to be reminded about it constantly. In contrast, my wifes parents do not have alot of extra money but they will sell scrap metal or scrub cruddy asss toilets to help their family. And not ask for you to repay them one dime. That's because they love their family that much.
My wife said they made scarifices for their children alll their lives. They got nothing yet would give away what they do have.
My parents have an 80,000 dollar RV and ***** about helping people. If I had one I would not be able to enjoy myself on it if I thought my children needed something. That's all I'd worry about.

I sent my mother this e-mail, whom my father and I caught with her lover, whom she said was just a friend, (14 years younger than HER), in the kitchen cooking dinner,

We, Niko Luis and Angel Maria Toledo feel that not even once in our lives, have we gone a year with everything being perfectly OK with our mother's mental attitude and disorders, if it's her arguing with her kids on the curb while they're 3 & 2 on Fourth of July, rejecting help from locals, and yelling at us or taking us out on a "joy-ride" during the night time, following innocent people in their car, threatning to hit them, etc. We never got invited over to friends' houses due to our mother. whom we shall now call Cruz (for us, she has loss the right to even be known as "mom", "mother", "momma", and "mommy.") for EVERYONE at our school thinks she is crazy and have dis-liked her since day once there. We've given her many chances as a friend and a mother. Yet, we ask her for something and she never delivers it to us,

I told my oldest sister who is 25. Shes really mad at me and told me that my sister can decide whats best for her. I also realize that my sister is drinking and she says it happily. Ive seen all her drinking facebook pics and I dont know what to do. If I rat on her to ny1 else, shell never talk to me in her whole life. Although she claims that she does drink, she denies having sex...What do I do????
