I'm sorry to burden you with feeling that are not of your consent.I just wanted to let out my feelings. Well first of all my father cheated on my mom when she was pregnant. Their relationship is badly damaged by that factor. Also my mother loves my sister more than me. When going to my sisters room and mine there is a significant difference in both rooms. Her room has several new and advanced technology. Meanwhile mine had only a bed, tv, and closet.Last Christmas my mother and father gave my sister a car, tomtom, laptop and 600 dollars. Meanwhile all I asked for was a scooter and they only gave me a gift card to in an out worth 5 DOLLARS!UGH
Again sorry if I'm being a downer ,but I need to cool off.

Well upon reading this post I sound like a materialistic freak who posts weird things on the internet ,but its not that. There's these little things that my family does like isolating me whenever there's guest around. Or being just plain rude. Its like all those little things add up to make me realize what my family does to me.

Wow I feel really sorry first of all. I think you should really face them with this problem, and not vent, just express how you really feel and ask a few questions! They should be doing for a child as much as for the other. There's no separation when it comes to children, regardless their age! Just tell them you don't feel loved or appreciated. It doesn't mean for them to spoil you with things, just show a little more affection, cuz it sounds like they don't from what you have said! Some parents tend to act that way with the younger children, sometimes they'll say things they don't mean like, "you should have never come along," like for example in the cheating while she was pregnant situation, was that pregnancy with you? Regardless, you are THEIR child, and you should be treated like one!

ok first of all...ur family kinda suks. but i bet u know that already.they dont seem to care much about you so why dont u take advantage of your new found freedom and go out and have some fun. hhang out with friends or something. or u could make your sister's life hell by ruining everything of hers.

you poor thing, you seem like such a sweetheart.. why would your parents favor one child over the other ? have you tried talking to them ? is it your real birth parents ..like its not your dad and her mom and dad or something?? i just never heard of such a thing... i feel your pain..just remember you wont always live with them and if you get the chance to go to college..go to one thats far away from them.. and start your life on your own.. i wish you good luck !!

Sometimes we feel that owning or getting material things will increase our level of happiness. All it does is to make us crave for more. 1st and foremost - be happy with what you get. Sometimes the richest people do not get love and happiness after owning things others covet or envy.
Your parents' relationship with each other is disturbing. Learn from it - so that such things do not happen in your life. I wish you well.
