When you say you were a girl, does this mean that it happened a while ago when you were little? If so, tell someone and get some counciling. If you are worried about your sister's family, tell her! Common sense!

I'm sorry that you had to go through something so horrible... It is never easy to figure out what to do...

What you need to do is tell your parents and go to the police. You can't let him get away with it, because he will just do it to someone else and you don't want that... Don't worry so much about the family.. Either they believe you or they don't, but you have to do what's right....

Also, get help for yourself, if you haven't already.. Hold your head up high and know that everything is going to be alright. It will not be the end of the world. You will actually make it better with one less creep walking around freely hurting other people....

Good Luck and God Bless!

The construction of your question is so strange as to defy logic.

I mean.... how exactly is this guy your brother-in-law? Is he the brother of your husband? But then who would the 'her' in 'her family' be?

Is he the husband of your sister? But then, wouldn't 'her' family be YOUR family?

I just can't figure out how to get my arms around what the scenario is........

So.... since I don't understand it, I do have advice for any rape victim. File criminal charges.

Who cares if it screws up his marriage.... his violent crime SHOULD screw it up. Who cares if anyone approves or argues with you?

There are innocent lives at risk here. Rapists are always repeat offenders. I mean, most women (according to my unscientific study) have been raped. However, most men never ever rape anyone. Therefore, the ones that do rape....do a LOT of it. Take him DOWN!

You need to worry about YOU at this time, you need to find support for yourself and make sure that your brother in law doesn't get away with this!

Are you worried about your sister, when you say you're worried about 'her family?'
Or is it your brother in laws family you're worried about and you meant 'his?'
Either way, your brother in law was wrong to do what he did to you. You are not at fault; it is he who is wrong, you are the victim.
First of all, you need to speak to the friend or family member you are closest to and who you trust the most - then you need to go to your doctor and your police station, with your chosen loved one there to support you.
As well as making sure you have the medical support you may need, you also need to make sure your brother in law doesn't rape you, or someone else again!
Please, please find support, and do it quickly. Good luck, I hope this all works out for you.

Sounds like you are "NOW" a man. Evidence is based on how long you depend to report him. You are not doing any justice to her family by keeping quiet. How many more are going to be raped and probably get others infected?

I think you should speak to someone that you trust and report this to the police because it can happen again. Do it soon though coz any evidence can be ruined!

call the police

that applies if you are in a "western" country. If you live under the "Sharia law" better stay silent - and emigrate.
