I'm 17! D':
My step dad is closer to my age than hers (he's 28) and he did cheat on her once with one of my moms close friends. Before that, I used to like my step dad. He seemed pretty cool compared to some of the other jerks she married. He was like an older brother to me.
And then one day me and him were innocently horsing around (i'm a tomboy :p)and stuff and my mom got all upset. It's like walking on eggshells with her, really. And now she says mockingly that we "have a crush on each other"! That was FREAKING UNCALLED FOR!!!
And not only that but she goes on and on about how "men are" and stuff and I hate it! I didn't mean to do anything! I didn't do anything either! I'm actually a 'good girl'.
I got so fed up that I told her that if she cant trust her own daughter to be around her husband that she has serious problems.
what should i do?

my mother in law obliged my husband to send her montly salary inspite that we have a child and payables such as house loans,yaya,food etc...expenses,She received also other incomes,i feel so disgusted becoz she doesn't understand me...

my 17 yr old sons ex girlfriend left the state of mn with their child and his rights have not been established. She left that state because she has a bench warrant out for her arrest. would like to now know how to go about getting her and the baby back in the state and getting my son rights.

found out later that night abused my son he had bruises all over his body the doctors determinied that they actually were pinch marks and he told me they were made earlier in the day police social workers etc... were involved but unfortunalty she wasnt charged becuz there wasnt enough evidence against her becuz we later found out her sons fiancee was also taking care of my son so they couldnt determine if it was her or my friends mother i cut off contact with the entire family my question is now my son is extremely clingy he will scream yell shout if i leave him alone in a room for longer than 10 seconds he wont take naps anymore during the day and when he does it for maybe 10 minutes he wakes up 4-5 times a night its just getting pretty bad he just seems to cry all the time now before any of this happened he didnt sleep thru the night but he would wake up maybe 1 or 2 times now its 4-5 im not getting any sleep i dont know what to do should i ask him doctor? he has an appt on the 29th

He told his parents a couple days ago and they flipped. We are from different cultures but it has never been a problem until now they dont want their son to marry outside his race. They are pushing him to make me get an abortion, they are lying to him making me look bad so that he will change his mind. We both want the baby but now he has second thoughts becasue of his parents approval. I am not going to let anyone make me get rid of my baby, but i need for him to be ok with this. I need advice PLEASE!!!!!

I have been with my girlfriend for5 1/2 years (we met online) We live 70 miles apart. It has just gotten to the point that I dread going to visit on the weekends. My blood pressure jumps when the phone rings because I know it's her.
My issues are that she is SOOOOO negative about everything.It drags me down. In my opinion she is TERRIBLE with her kids (they are given EVERYTHING that they want,and are never scolded for doing wrong) She wants me to help with the kids,then sides with them????
On the other hand,she has an issue with my kids because they are achievers. My daughter is in college double majoring in secondary education and mathematics,and my son is a stand out high school football player and is being scouted by several MAJOR universities. Should I feel bad that my children are chasing thier dreams and hers are not???
She has dreams that i do things such as cheat (i'm totally faithful),and she'll be mad at me for days? Over a dream. Am I wrong for wanting out

i have a family problem and i really need ur help, i feel so fustrated that i want to suicide





I love my mothers family more than my fathers....its because my mothers family actually cares about me shows affection...right now my nanu is here and i am getting along very well, my dad seems to be irratated because when some members of his family come to my house ( i live overseas) i hated them for so many reasons....


and now i am missing my nani and insisting her to come as well my dad is angry and when i ask him why he does not say anything.....


i want to tell my dad that please don't be angry you cannot force me to love your family......




tell me why is it that in indian families there is always some kinda of competition that you have to like my fam or that my fam is betta than urs



i hate my daddy's fam, but he is different that is why i love him more than anything..... but i hate his fam...they don't shower, they stink of B.O... etc they liv in UK

I know siblings argue and occasionally fight, but is this normal?

My girlfriend was visiting her sister and her roommates a few weeks ago. They occasionally play argue, and were calling names and such. My girl was lying on the floor and easily threw a small weighted ball onto the couch at her sister. Her sis threw it back and hit her in the tummy. She threw it back harder at her sister, hititng her this time. Her sis then jumped up and kicked her hard in the stomach. My girl has a very strong belly and you can see her abs, but she said the kick was high just below the ribs and knocked the wind out of her. She wanted to chase after her sis and finish the fight, but she said she could not uncurl from holding her belly for a full minute. An hour later when she left, she could still feel where the heel hit her.

I have fought with siblings, but not to this caliber and with the intention of hurting them. Is it typical for sisters to fight this severly?

It was my birthday on Sunday.My daughter took me out for breakfast,gave me a nice card and a gift.My oldest son and middle son never called me to say Happy Birthday mom.I have never missed my adult kids birthdays ( I always make them a nice dinner and invite the rest of the family(or any of thier kids birthdays. I am really hurt over this.I keep thinking that when thier birthdays come I should not bother to call them and see how they would like it.Do you think I am being petty? I didn't bring my kids up to be thoughtless...What would you do?

My sister's very hypocritical. Money's tight sometimes, yet she's 19 and is a full time student, but doesnt get a job to help out. She "claims" to care about saving money, and always bugs my parents when they make financial decisons. yet she completely depends on them for gas, schooling(money for college), Lives at home, wanted a cat for her birthday which she eventually got, but the cat is ill, and medicine is nearly 100 bucks a week. she has a boyfriend in virginia, who basically whenever he visits, he crashes at our house for 2 weeks, and then leaves. Right now, she's really annoying me. My parents are thinking about buying a car, but they have been thinking about getting 2, since my sister's car is a piece of crap. but we have this great opportunity to buy a really nice car, for us, yet she keeps complaining about how this one car is too expensive for us, but really, she's simply being internally selfish. how do i combat this? and convince my parents of buying this one car.

My grandmother, is right now, on her death bed. She was like my second mother and if not for her, a lot of times my brother and I wouldn't have had clothes to wear when we were little. She got cancer 10 years ago and was told then she has six months to live. She has chronic lymphatic leukemia, has had 2 strokes and has emphysema (never smoked, it was 2nd hand smoke). The strokes caused the nerves in one side of her face to die so her face fell and also damaged her vocal chords so its very hard to understand her. Her intestines have shut down and her kidneys are shutting down now. She cannot speak to anyone but managed to whisper "I love you" to my 3 year old daughter, which was the most crushing moment of my life. I guess my question is, God let her go on this long and now that she has days, maybe hours, to live, what is the most important thing to do? Just sit with her and be there, pray to her, what would you be doing?

I told my mom today I wanted to quit cheerleading and she got mad at me! She's always told me that I should make my own decisions and now she's mad about this one and actually won't let me quit. She thinks it's because of my boyfriend and the fact that I don't have much time to spend with him but that's not it. It's like our coach has it in for me ever since I started dating him. She thinks he's a distraction just because he watches us practice and I talk to him sometimes during water breaks. Then she gets mad at me because I come back late. But people come back late all the time and she doesn't yell at them! Anyway my mom is whining that she spent so much money for me to go to cheer camp last summer and on my uniform, shoes, etc. and blah, blah, blah. But shouldn't she let me do what makes me happy?

Do not have the same strict religious beliefs? I ask this because I have this sister who is older who never has really anything kind to say to us in the family. She is only seems to be happy around her strict religious friends. She can be so cold to us and have the harshest remarks made at us. The thing is it is my personality to be friendly to everyone regardless of their beliefs. My sister had tried to get all of us in the family to follow her line of thinking but we all have our own path in life to follow and we will not follow hers just because she wants us too. Since then she has been so mean and cold. Everyone in the family gets along great with one another and we do not judge each other on who we are because this is a free country and we are free to find our own path. My sister has always been kind of cruel but it has gotten worse the more religious she has gotten. Is it a control issue with her? No I am not cruel to her, it is not in my personality to be mean, to shy.

I am not against them developing a relationship although I am understandably nervous. The last time I spoke to his dad...he asked when I was going to get married so he could sign his rights away.
I have been out of touch with him for 7 yrs...gave up trying to call when they blocked my number...call screening-etc.
Have only heard from his wife....not him. This was common in the beginning as well.( No he wasn't married when Adam was born)
Wife wanted to know what school he goes to...I wouldn't say. Am I required to tell her?...They still won't say where exactly they live...and neither will I...but they haven't asked THAT? Just what school he goes to.. Is is legal for them to go pick him up at school and take him? I have seen many people try to get custody that way. I am very worried about how to proceed with letting them get to know each other while at the same time...protecting myself and my son from anything underhanded.

I WAS ALWAY MEAN TO HER BUT SHE CROSSERD THE LINE WHEN SHE HIT ME AND I CROSSED THE LINE WHEN I BROKE HER COMPUTER. She smoked around me ever since I was very small, often in the car or at home without the windows open. I developed asthma and also was on medication for allergies. Thankfully, my breathing problems actually vanished after I moved out some years ago.

Now people are telling me she was a bad mom for having done that to me.

How did you handle all the changes that they are showing? (Coming in when they want, disrespect the house, seems to have head where sun don't shine, no rules matter, and feelings of other household members don't matter, especially mom and dad)

What rules did you let them decide for themselves?
(She can decide when to come home, where she's going and with whom, to call or not to call out of courtesy)

How did you make them adjust to, "ok, you're 18, but u live under my roof rules"?

When ALL EFFORTS have failed, who did you go to for advise??

She's been a pretty good girl for her life, chose good boys for bf's, including the one she has now, and seemed to always have a pretty good head on her shoulders, UNTIL she became "legal adult".

What the heck happened here??

my parents died when i was three and my aunt, (my moms sister) was 23. She was my only living relative, and gained custody of me. we love each other, i even call her mom now. but lately, we have drifted apart. (i am nearly 15 now ahe is 35) i used to tell her everything. yesterday tho, i disappointed her more than i ever thought possible. she found out that i was sleeping with my boyfriend in our apartment when i was supposed to be at school. we (bf and i) have only done this once, the other times we did it, were at his house when his mom was at work. my aunt told me that she has lost all trust in me, bc i told her a few weeks ago that i was still a virgin and that she didnt have to worry. i told her that i didnt think that it was that big a deal and she just looked at me like i was stupid. i may only be 14 but i dont think that im stupid. now tho, she says that she cant trust me, and that i cant use the phone, my cell, watch tv, or go out with any of my friends.

Ever since I started working 5 days a week our house is a mess, garbage is piling up, laundry is lost, food isn't prepared . etc...
Im lucky because our family can survive on my husbands income, but I feel guilty being a stay at home mom. Our child is preteen so its not a child care issue. It would be so nice to get this house back in order again.

I broke my ankle 2 weeks ago and it has just been a disaster. I stayed home for like a week from school and am failing all my classes. I am so worried I'm not going to pass this year. Also today I am at home and I had to here my mom yelling at me all morning that "I can't be like a grown up" and "maybe I'll just let you go live with your dad". My dad verbally and emotionally abuses me and I would rather be dead than live with him. I'm just really scared, hurt and in a lot of pain. And I have this boot thing on my leg and yesterday people at Officemax were laughing at me which hurts me too. I won't be able to vacation this summer, even if I do pass the 10th grade. I feel like giving up on life. Can you help me feel better please? thnak you
