what do you do when your step-daugther who is 20 gets whatever she wants and can do whatever she wants. We have been paying her cell phone since she was 16, this month we got the bill and it was over 500 because she used double the minutes that we have. I called her and asked her to pay her portion of the over charge and my husband came unglued. I am not allowed to call her about things like that and as he put it, she can do what she wants and I will always cover her. She is 20 years old. He thinks he can make up for not being there for 8 years when she was growing up. What do I do? I have a 13 year old from a previous marriage, and her behavior takes things away from him.

My sister and i got in a really nasty arguement today. She blocked the door so i couldnt go to my room so i pushed her out of the way and she punched me twice in the face. What should i do?? file a report? restraining order? i dont feel safe living with her anymore...HELP!!!!

Okay, this might be kind of wierd...but...
I got to my grandmas fri.-Tues.
Well, todays Tuseday, I got to my house.
My grandma bought me a Nintendo DS lite, and some games.
But my grandma doesen't want me to bring it home.
Why? She thinks my two younger sisters will fight or, break it.
They have done that before, but to little things, such as sunglasses, my radio. But accidently, and when I am not around.
But if I play with it, and tell my mom to not let them mess with it, then theres know way they can break it. My mom said herself, she isen't allowring them to touch my things, anymore. And we're all home at the same time.
I told my grandma, this but she till says no. I ask her everyweek....-No!
Besides, I enjoy my DS, and honestly, I have nothing else to do at home.
My mom wont tell my grandma, and my grandma bought it for me too.

So its up to my grandma, to say yes. No one else.
How can I get my grandma to let me bring it home?

I have a serious problem. My sister is giving cough syrup to her children at night to make them go to sleep. I feel like this is serious child abuse, and could cause serious problems to their health. I am afraid of the consequences this could have on them in the future. I'm not sure if I should call CPS or not. Is their any other agency I can call?

She does so much stuff thats mean then goes around and calls me a bad person, like shes married with a kid and you'd think she would be more mature than she is, but she so unappreciative!! aaah makes me so angry i could go on for ever she just does so many things that tick me off, she such a hypocrit, and shes no fking narrow minded!! aah why do i dislike her so much!!??

my dad said this to me a week or so ago and its just really disappointing. he is a very busy man but he still never listens to anything I say. Okay, I have a cousin named 'Stacey' and she's 33. She has a daughter named 'Lucy' who's 16. Anyway, Stacey has always been a wild child. She used to sleep with any and everybody, catching several STDs and drama along the way(She told me all this; this isn't gossip). Anyway, regardless of her disgusting behavior, her daughter Lucy is a very good young lady. She's very into soccer and she's a straight-A student. She doesn't have time for boys. The problem is that her mother keeps insulting her and saying things like, "You try to act all quiet but you're probably some secret ho or something. I was very perfect and good when I was young(a LIE!), and you better be like me!"

It disgusts me what a liar Stacey is and I would love for Lucy to know what kind of a trashbag her so called "perfect" mother really was(and still is!). Should I let the "truth" spill out or should I just watch my my poor cousin try to live up to some false standard that her crazy mother set for her??

I think she has some kind of mental illness if there is any for lying. I was trying to brush it off but this past spring she told 3 about me in a matter of weeks so I confronted her as nicely as you can. And needless to say she didn't take it well. She wasn't talking to me for a while. Now out of the blue I call her to tell her think you for a package that she sent the kids. And she said told another story and I am sick of it.

my 13 year old was a loner, bit of a nerd, always getting bullied, until he hit high school, now he is hanging around the wrong crowd, sneaking out at night, smoking, getting in trouble with law, lying, wagging school. He is still a great kid on his own, but around his new friends hes a horror! I don't believe in violence, so I have never smacked him in his life, instead as punishment, I usually take things off him, ground him, or send him to his dads for the weekend which he hates as his dad is so strict. but all of that is no longer working. We sit and compromise a lot, I try to be fair by remembering the things I did as a teenager. He admits he is a follower and will be so he doesnt get picked on any more, so he is COOL....... Im scared he will end up a no hoper. He was a gifted child, but now doesnt even care about not getting good marks at school cos " only nerds do that ". I dont yell and scream, I have been told I am too soft, advice from other teenage boys would be good.

my dad's new wife has him completely whipped. lately, his wife darcy's daughter callie has been trying her hardest to make my life as miserable as possible, and my dad's tried to stop it, but darcy won't admit her daughter is doing anything, and just blames it on me and claims i'm lying through my teeth. dad doesn't like callie too much, but he always goes on darcy's side and punishes me for stuff i've never even done, because darcy controls him. i've tried talking to him, and whenever she's not around he'll admit she treats him like crap, but he won't stick up for himself or me. does anyone have any ideas of suggestions?

How would this be for telling our parents when we get pregnant with baby #2. We aren't trying for a couple of months and it's all I can think about so I'm thinking of ways to surprise our parents. We would invite my parent's over one night for dinner and my hubbies parents over another night for dinner. I would make a chinese dinner (crab rangoon, egg rolls and egg drop soup). Then I would get them one of these keepsake fortune cookies for them to open after dinner and have a fortune written in them about their future grandbaby coming into this world.

Okay, all, this isnt about significant other love, this is about family love. I'm 17 years old, and as far as I can remember, I have always felt this way. My parents love me, and they always tell me and it makes me feel REALLY awkward to say it back. I am able to do this with my girlfriends easily..like open up, but I'm ENTIRELY afraid of family love. FOr instance, if my dad kisses me on the head i kinda feel uncomfortable, same with my mom. I also dont like it when my sisters say the same thing (my brother doesnt do it..yay)...i just dont like it. I cant tell them this, I just want to know if anybody else feels this way or can help me out a bit?

I havent been caught by my parents or by any form of law inforcement for four years. I am now 16. My dad found my pipe and my weed. I smoke about every other day. me and my parents dont have a good relationship because they never really talk to me, all they do is start scolding me right away. I want to try and sway there opinion on why weed isnt that bad. This question is for parents and people who have been in the same situation as me.

I went out to a club a couple of weeks ago. well, as i was setting with my friends minding my own, when my 50 year old aunt comes in (who is married) with 3 kids & 3 diff. daddy's, was doing her thing with other men. like being felt up and showing body parts. A bit later she was dancing ungodly with guy and she danced over to me and said "you didnt see me here". I said i didnt want to see you here. i was not going to tell her husband....it was none of my business. so i figured it was no big deal to tell my mom because my aunt has done this for yeeeears and they are very close. everyone knows what she does except her husband. i took it she meant no to tell her hubby and i told my mother. now, my mom is mad at her because she was acting like she was about dead "physically". but she was out cutting a rug with a bunch of men. playing my mom like a fiddle. i didnt know this until after i told my mom. my aunt is mad at me. who gives a ****..she is a slut. Was i in the wrong for telling?

I just found out that he has been talking some girl that he is attracted to who he met at work.

She is his age, but about to get married. He says she peaked his interest because she is attractive and she is from a different country.

The thing is I found out they spend a lot of tiem on the phone (anywhere from 30 minutes to a little more than an hour per day, over the course of the day, between several calls).

They never talk during the times I am around or I am home.

This has been going on for about two months at the least and he says he is not interested in having sex with her, he just likes to talk to her, as it is something different.

He promises me that he would never do anything to break up our family (we have a 3 yr old daughter), and that I am the one for him, and of course I am sure she knows about his family.

I have been reading questions about how much rent should I make my kid pay. Most of the posting are over 18 and their parents make them pay rent. WHY?? My parents live nicely (but we are not rich) and they have joked about me paying rent....but they would never make me pay them money to live there. (I don't have kids) BUT if i did and as long as they worked and went to school i wouldn't ask then to pay me to live there. What do u guys think??

We live in a three bedroom house with my mum and dad, my older brother of 22 has much more in common with my 16 year old brother, they both like computer games and get on better. Me and my younger brother do not get on, constantly arguing. I dont like him, he never does anything for me, and im constantly letting him of, he also makes the room a mess. when I cant stand it.

My older brothers room is a state so it would make sense for them to share a room. But as hes the oldest he has the room, my younger brother complained when i mentioned this, but my older brother understands and would move.

My question is am i being unfair on my older brother? what would you do? where do I stand on this situation. I see it becoming a big problem.

My former father-in-law is in a local hospital in critical condition. He lives about 1 1/2 hours from here. So I told his lady friend that she could stay with me so she could be with him. Now, I learned that my father is in the hospital and they think he has had a heart attact. He is almost 2 hours away. I would really like to go be with my dad. What can I do about this lady? She is elderly. She does not drive. Even if I let her stay while I went, she could not get back and forth to the hospital.

My sister and I have been problems for about a year and a half, and that is because of the way she acts. She's only 14 and it's already having sex, oral sex, and anything else you can imagine. She does drugs, alcohol but... here's the thing; my mom thinks she's such an angel. This girl sneaks out at night and doesn't come back home, skips school. My mom knows all of this for she has seen her drugged and stuff, even though she has never catched her doing any sexual things. When my sister wants something, she acts like a little angel and my mom immediately gives it to her thinking that's she's finally going to change. Everytime my brother or me try to tell my mom about my sister, something bad always happens to us and we end up paying for her mistakes. What do you think it's a way for my mom to open her eyes to reality and see all of this, and also, do SOMETHING about it? (She's never done anything to change it) Have you ever had any experience with this/like this? Please help!
