Last weekend my aunt cleaned out her closet and ended up bringing my mom 2 garbage bags of clothes. She told my mom that they were meant for me but if there was anything she wanted to take it. My mom is about 6 sizes bigger than her sister so nothing in the bags fitted her. Now seeing as I'm the same size as my mom I gave the clothes to the one person I knew who needed them and could fit in them, my daughter. She is the same size as her great aunt so I figured as long as someone was using them it wasn't a waste. Now my mom is very upset with me because she's saying if I didn't want the clothes I shouldn't have taken them. My daughter really needed new clothes and she really appreciates them( she recently went through a teenage growth spurt and most of her old clothes don't fit anymore). My mom is saying that I basically didn't accept the gift and that I had no right to give these things to my daughter. Did I really do something wrong or is my mom overreacting? continued

Growing up I always used to fight with my siblings and people would say, "when you're older you'll be close." Well, I'm older and I feel like I'm just growing further away from them. I'm not that old though, in my early twenties and we're all still establishing ourselves and finding our place in the world, so maybe that's it, but I'm starting to get to the point where I wouldn't mind being friends with my siblings or developing a closer relationship. I'm just not sure they're there...

If you're an adult and you have siblings close to your age, at what ages if ever did you start having a closer relationship with your siblings? Sometimes I'd just like to call my sister on the phone and really talk about what's going on in life, but we haven't got along these last few years and when we do talk it's just meaningless chat.

How can I establish a good relationship with my siblings now that we're all adults especially since we all live so far away from eachother?

My husband's mom passed away one year ago. Since then his family has been at odds. His older sister has stopped talking to him, his youngest sister and their dad. This has also lasted about a year. When my husband sent his two nieces money for their birthdays, this sister proceeded to send it back with a card saying "since you are not part of their lives, we don't feel we can accept any gifts because it sends the girls mixed messages." My husband is devastated by this and wants to write her back - I say no, to let it go and move on. What is his best course of action?

If a man becomes a househusband, people comments and dont approve. Is being a househusband to do with losing the manhood and be a feminine thing? Dont you think it is the demand of the day, when lots of women are entering the corporate world and having successfull career, somebody should be there to take care of home and raise kids. If the man chooses to do that then what is the fuss? Housework is not a rocket science which men cannot do.

My husband & I have been together for over 8 yrs. He has an 11 yr daughter & recently things got worse in the relationship he has with his daughter's mother because she expected more child support money & other demands. To make a long story short, the court did NOT give her what she was after. Since this time (1 1/2 month), she has made life really impossible and is always trying to fight about something. His daughter celebrated a b/day the end of Sept and they wiill not answer the phone when he calls to try to speak with his daughter. His ex said that he cannot see her anymore or talk to her anymore. It doesnt stop there, she also declared that my husband's mother cannot pick up their daughter anymore. My husband used to pick up his daughter on Sats & spend the day with her. His ex said that he treats his daughter differently from our 2 sons, etc. She told their daughter that daddy doesnt love her because he would buy her "nicer" presents for xmas and her bday.

last night my fiance came home from work and I was asking him what else he wanted to go with dinner and his son walks in the room and being very polte doesn't say a word ad walks back out of the room well his dad calls him back and said what baby ??? and I was like weren't we just having a conversation ( waited until the child walked outta the room )and he said but I haven't seen him all day but I felt like he was completely disregareding me and my daughter but he says he wants us to be a family ?????

The two babies is actually my 23 year old fiance and my 14 year old brother who is staying with me. I can get sometime so angry when their stuff lies all over the floor, when they play playstation all the time and hurts my cats. I used to yell at them when they did something wrong, but then every one was angry at me, now I just keep my mouth not saying anything to anyone. but sometimes they can get so nagging and annoying asking me what is wrong. When I tell them what is wrong then they get angry at me, hit the wall slam the doors and just handling everything with anger. I dont know what to do anymore. I am fed up with these two babies, just wish both of them could act their age. Should I start yelling at them agian or what should I do

when a girl says that is it safe to say she likes me and maybe want a relationship. im 18 she will sometime look me in the eyes and not say anything. i dont really know her good



ive herd cute is used by girls to describe someone who is not there type or a nice way to say "your ugly" i hope this isnt the case

i know she's been through alot in her life...my dad didnt care and gambled so she's cheating on him right now with my dad's brother and it hurts me.. My mom yells at me over every little thing...i know its normal for parents to scream...but even my family thinks she get caried away for no reason...she sees me as a mistake...like i ruined her life...i messed thinghs up for her...i dunno how...but i just wanna say im sorry for being born...she calls me every posible name imaginable...screwup, stupid, useless, pendeja, estupida, cabrona, etc...what did i do to make her life so wrong?..why cant anythingh i do make her happy?..how an i make her happy...i really have tried everythingh...but she doesnt even care...all my aunts have or are even scared of her...is that normal?..

rules. I am a good girl and rarely give them any slack. I've come across an opportunity in the city to work with a major magazine. However, i live in staten island. It's a difficult commute. She doesn't want me to do it. She never wants me to do anything. She is paranoid and suffers from mental disorders. I rarely go out on weekends with friends(to be honest, i only have 1 real friend)..because she doesn't let me. I don't know what to do anymore? Her paranoid behavior is driving me insane.

I am the middle child even though I just two minutes older than my twin. I'm 18 and my parents have been treating me bad since I was little. They are much muuuch harder on me than my older brother and younger sister. I get really good grades at college, I got a good job offer, I drive well and take car of the cars, I get scholarships, I'm pretty well rounded. But, it's never good enough for them. I am blamed for my siblings' problems like I made them do it. I feel like I have to babysit my sister cause she does a lot of stupid stuff and my parents blame me for it. They also tell me how much I'm ruining my life because of my boyfriend because he isn't as great as they want him to be. I'm already making plans to move out because I've had enough of this. Years I've been mistreated and I don't want to sit back. I'm 18 and they still try to control every aspect of my life. (Cont.)

My Girlfriend and I have a 3 month old daughter, We are both 30. We weren`t plannning it to have a baby but we don`t regret it.She`s not working nor has health insurance, so we have many bills. I get paid decent at my job enough to cover bills but still have to budget weekly. She will not get off my back for 2 seconds, I help with the baby when I get home and only sleep 2-3 hours a night. I understand it is not easy to be a new mother and I know women go through emotional fazes around this time.

The problem is she won`t back off for a second without pounding me with constant nagging and it is getting to me.
I`ve tried to talk to her and she promises to lighten up , but it only lasts a day or so. She is also the type to say insulting things when she is angry.

I am going through a divorce with my husband. My husband is blackmailing me to come to a settlement on his terms. He has bleckmailed me every possible way includign brining a cop to my house and threatening to take the dog away on charges of me abusing the dog. ( I have single handedly brought up my dog like a baby for the last two years). When that dint healp, he started harassing everyone in my family includign trying to take away my sister's job, calling up and harrassing my parents, threatning me of any and evething (very smartly and cautiously within legal limits). The problem is that we own a business that he wants to take control of and cheat me with the money. Should i stay and fight and run for my sanity ?

my stepmom discovered the other day that i am not as innocent as i had led her to believe. My stepmom and i are really close, she came into my life when i was four and has been the only real mom that i have. then this year came around. I just turned 15 a few months ago. my stepmom was doing laundry when she found a note that i had written to my boyfriend. after reading this letter that was in NO WAY for her eyes, she went snooping through my room. well, she found alot of things that let her know that i have been sexually active for a bit. she found letters, e-mails, and pictures that my bf and i took as a joke (we NEVER thought that anyone would see them)
well, when i got home, she called me into her room, and told my older sister to take my younger siblings to the park. my stepmom had everything that she found lying on the bed. she demanded to know exactly what i had been doing and for how long. i didn't know what to tell her..to be continued

im going to her house in the morning she lives about 2 hrs away she doesnt have long to live she has cancer she is getting weaker ever day iam going to stay there at her house im scared when the time comes when she is gone i dont want her to go it will be so hard

OK so I know. I'm lucky. I have a great life, and my mom is alive. But uh... at times my mother gets on my nerves and I just wanna slug her! She's always bothering me and she says the same things all the time. She helps out in volleyball and she is so embarrassing telling our personal family business to the coach and she acts like she knows everything. Volleyball is stressfull enough already, and I don't need to worry about what she's doing. I need a polite not hurtful way to tell her to quit it. Like at times, she starts swearing (mild achoholic) and I tell her to go away. Well, guess what happens then: She stays mad at me, ignores and blocks me out of her for the rest of the night. AHHHH! She's driving me nuts! Just recently she quit her job and refuses to go back to work. I need a way to get her out of the house and out of my hair. I JUST HAte tHe WAY SHE'S BEING RIGHt NOW! help me cope :(

My sister treats me like crap. But what bothers me is that when she's on the phone with her friends or whenever she's talking to someone else besides me, she's so nice and sweet. Her tone is better and she just treats them so good. It makes me sad that she treats her friends better than me. So what can I do to get over this?
