CONGRATULATIONS! You are entering into one of the most exciting and complicated careers in the universe! I don't think it has nothing to do with you becoming more feminine. I think it has ALL to do with you knowing where you are needed in this moment in time. Good luck!

Hi Shiava02,
How many marriages has fallen apart because of this credo? How many families are suffering because men are supposed to be the breadwinner, wherein it's so obvious that women are just as capable & in many situations now proven to be better? But the good news is society norms are evolving fast in such that it's no big deal anymore if the woman becomes the breadwinner. In fact, there are many househusbands now & they don't feel lesser as a person. The focus here should be "what's good for the family" instead of "who's better, me or you??". If both husband & wife set aside their egos & work toward a common goal, it really doesn't matter as long as both are contributing in their own ways.

Firstly, I've been a househusband twice ( two boys) and I thought it was great! The reason was that my wife ( a teacher ) earned a lot more than I did so when her maternity leave finished, I went part -time at work to look after them. I didn't feel feminine - quite the opposite. It's a very paternal thing to look after your children and help in their development. Think about it - if your child was in danger, wouldn't you automatically try to protect them as a father? It was like that in a minor way. I can recommend it! Cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing. My wife certainly was happy to have a man who could do that!

I know a lot of men who were becoming househusband because of several reasons yet it does not affect the respect they once gained. It takes a very real man to do things like that and be proud of being one

Hi...
Housework is not a rocket science, no, but raising kids and keeping a nice house is a lot of work.... at least, it was for me... Constant laundry, and chasing kids around, hauling them to activities and keeping the house looking nice can be draining -- I worked and raised my kids, and lots of times, i felt exhausted.
Plus, there is painting and maintenence which sometimes needs to be done, the lawn and gardening. It's a full time job if you want a nice home...
I don't think there is a problem if a man or woman want's to stay home and raise the kids. Whatever works for the couple. It's a personal choice and no one else's business.
take care

This situation is usually very closely related to income. When a wife, for whatever reason, is able to provide much more income for the family, it only makes sense that the husband and wife switch roles. Does this make the husband feminine? Ridiculous! Lose his manhood? This is not something that is 'lost' or 'found'. A man has it or he doesn't.

A real man would have no problem taking care of his family and make sure to pay the bills, provide food on the table, etc. And he does that by working for a living and earning a paycheck.

first, don't kid yourself into believeing that it's an easy job. with that said, i've known a couple guys who've chosen to be sahd's. they're great guys and it's nice to see a man so involved with his children. while it's not exactly the "norm",i see nothing wrong with it. it doesn't make one lose their manhood or become feminine at all.

Have you been a cave for 30 years? I haven't heard this old argument since the 70's. I think its been well established that real men don't pay attention to what anyone else says and does what's right for him and his family.

i think of estrogen will help, yet widely used femininity comes from the style you sense. i'm a female and that i do no longer constantly sense female. a fashion you could sense greater female is to do girly issues. approximately truly outcomes of estrogen, i think breasts truly strengthen slightly, yet no longer plenty. you will get temper swings etc. and your voice will grow to be truly larger. training facilitates get the excellent result because of the fact estrogen will in basic terms help plenty.
