she tells me other little boys are hot and she comes home and tells me who her curremt boyfriend is. Right now its a boy named matt in her class. She tells me she kisses him and they go on dates. What does this mean and is this normal or weird. Should I tell something to her?

Evidently your daughter is participating in too much adult activity.

hey- I followed a boy home from school at 5- what's the problem?

Just joking.

I wouldn't be too upset at 4. She is simply role playing. As long as nothing is happening physically then don't worry about it. I wouldn't worry too much about a kiss either. She has a good imagination. She is doing this because that is what she is seeing either by you, someone you know that she likes, or from T.V.

But monitor what she does watch-- I was onced asked by a 5 year old to kiss him-- with my tongue- that was too much (I was in High School at the time) and the parent blamed it on Cinemax!

Generally, around early elementary school age, kids are exploring sexuality (I know it sounds weird but it's true) where they identify with what type of gender they like, etc. As the get older, before puberty, they generally become less concerned with sexuality and more concerned about hanging out with friends and school and stuff. At puberty and past, it goes back to sexuality. I forget which pyschology theory this follows (I forgot his name)

perfectly normal. the whole kissing might be a bit off, but liking boys even at 4 is normal.

I liked boys at that age too. It is normal. However, I was never brazen enough to kiss. That behavior needs to be nipped in the bud. Not her feelings....just the behavior.

looks like she's gonna be quite the heart breaker...

it seems pretty normal. kissing at 4 isn't really. however, girls start liking boys at different ages ranging from four to fourteen.
