No, it would not be self-defense.
If you want to kill your brother and get away with it, then you need a bunch of money to hire a good defense lawyer. That way, you can even leave a trail of bloody footprints leading away from the corpse but still be found innocent by the jury - but it costs millions of dollars. For details of exactly how to do this, go here:-

Actually, killing him would be both expensive and messy. Why not just have the Fosterman take him away for ever? The Fosterman is like the Boogeyman, except that the Fosterman is real but the Boogeyman is only make believe. The Fosterman often takes kids away, never to be seen again. But be careful - he is not particular about whom he takes, so you yourself could also end up vanished forever and never be heard from again!
The other difference from the Boogeyman is that you need to call him on the phone. (Actually anybody can do this, such as a counselor or teacher at school. Like I said, the Fosterman is not particular!). Let me know what city you live in (edit your question to do this) and I will give you the local Fosterman's number.

No Sweetie, your brother would have to be trying to kill you for that to work; you'd have to "believe" that he was really trying to kill you, then you'd have to convince 12 other people that you really believed that, too. (So that's not really gonna work, is it?) I agree with you, though... It stinks being spanked by your own brother. I certainly wouldn't like it, (but then I'm the older brother, so that really wouldn't make any sense!) But I never spanked my brother either...(tortured him a bit, though when he was being a pest). The crazy thing is, I can remember most of that stuff like it was yesterday, but we're completely different people now. He's someone I trust more than just about anyone else in the world. I think the same will happen for you and your brother once you're no longer the people you are right now. (That's a really good thing.) But for the here and now, talk to mom again...maybe she didn't really realize he was actually spanking you but thought you both were playing. I doubt she'd let that continue if she knew it was real. Good luck to all of you.

Yes, your older brother can spank you-mine did and I am still alive and I did not kill him. I do not know why you get spanked? However, there is a way not to get spanked and that is doing the right thing that is asked of you and obey the house rules. If you are doing the right thing and you live in a functional family then brother's beating should cease. If they do not then you may be in an abusive situation and you need to talk to someone that you can trust.

how old are you? How old is your brother? I think that you could call the police next time your brother spanks you. I dont think it's ok at all for him to lay a hand on you.

It would classify as self defense if u could stop him and the attack ended but if he as stopped by u defending yourself then if u carry on from there then u would break the law

why not call the cops first? i think it is a better solution, if you are in school, you can also tell a counselor, or teacher, they are obligated to report abuse, but never jump straight to murder, there are other things you can do
