Which would you rather go by the name your birth mom gave you or the one your step mom gave you?

Well it depends if my birth mom was in my life. If she is then I would go by the name she gave me. If she wasn't then I would go by the one my step mom gave me. Because she is really my mom and if she had a special name picked out for me I would be more than happy to go by the name she gave me.

It would depend on a lot of things.
The main thing being, what your relationship with your birth mother and your stepmother is like.
What the names are
Whether you are refering to your first name or surname
What these to women and your dad thinks of the situation
ETC. . .

You ONLY have one Mother... and she is the one who named you. If you go by what your fathers wife wants you will be disrespecting your Mom big time and you will hurt her.
Please don't do that... she loves you more than anyone else ever will... even your father. She carried you in her body for 9 months, no one can love you as she does.
