my 17 yr old sons ex girlfriend left the state of mn with their child and his rights have not been established. She left that state because she has a bench warrant out for her arrest. would like to now know how to go about getting her and the baby back in the state and getting my son rights.

you file for custody or split custody, if you know where shes at the papers will be served there lol and you also tell them why she left the state, chances are when shes served she will also be arrested and the child returned to you . when you get to court it will be parental kidnapping she did and you will get custody ofyour child.

I would contact an attorney. They will have all the information you need.

Your son will have to find a way to get a paternity test done. At that time he could file for custody and things like that.

It's really sad that paternity wasn't established before this. I know most people think at the time their child is born that the mother/father would never pull a stunt like this, but you can never take any chances with your children.

Good luck to you and your son.

Pay for her warrant and she will probably return with the baby.
