IF you don't have a valid VISA or PASSPORT you will have problems getting back into the US.

As for your parents. Nope. You are legal, they can't stop you from doing anything.. but.. you may want to think (again) about their concerns. Sometimes parents see things that kids don't about someone.

Do you have passports?
As for your ages you are legally an adult so you can do as you please. But just make sure you are making the right decisions. Do you really love this guy, what will happen if the 2 of you brake up? How do you plan on caring for yourself in a different country? How will you if your parents let you come back home, get back home?
Think with your brain & not your hormones, use common sense, use your head, think about the what if's before you make such a major decision.

Instead of worrying about it, wait until you have your citizenship and then make a move like that. Also consider why your parents don't want you to be with him. Do they perhaps see something that you don't see? Do they think that you are too young to be with him so seriously? Do they want great things for you (like an education)? Do they perhaps think that your boyfriend will stop you from living up to your full potential? Try talking to them about all this because you may end up being in the middle of a battle - your partner versus your blood family. If's not a pleasant place to be!! If all it'll take for your family to accept him, is a bit of time, maybe that is the best course of action??

IF you are escaping something in your family, then consider all your options!

I wish you luck! Take care!

Do you have a passport. If not don't leave the country. You are of legal age. Are you getting married there? Then they can't stop you. Apply for a visa there and start the process.
Just think about it and make sure you really want to do this. Is it worth never talking to your parents again. What about there grandkids, are you going to keep them apart.
THINK ABOUT WHAT LIFE WILL BE LIKE FOR YOU IN A FEW YEARS.
Is this the right decesion to make.
Whatever you do......godd luck.

If you are 18 then there isn't much your parents can do. You say you are going to be a citizen? So you aren't a US citizen? I guess they can report you for deportation maybe. Why do you have to go to Mexico to leave? If you are both here in the states then why can't you just be together here?

Not that I suggest going against your parents but no they can not do anything. If you are 18 then you are legal and there is nothing your parents can do against him or you. However, if you do not have a passport you may have trouble getting into the US but nothing concerning being with him.

Since you are both over 18, I don't think your parents can do anything to him. But, hear your parents side. They might have legitimate reasons for trying to break the two of you up.

You're both of legal age, so your parents should not be able to "legally" prevent you from making the choice. Just make sure in your heart this is what you want to do, and realize the commitment that will be involved in it. Best wishes!

Might be best if you wait until you ARE a citizen. Forget the parents, you'll remember them when they're old and trying to pretend that everything was great.

Since you are 18, your parents have no legal rights over you. As long as you have legal documentation to reenter the US, there should be no problem getting back in.
