In the hospital I was told I need to fill out the paternity form only if I want to give my son his father's last name (I gave him my last name). But we filled the birth certificate form together with my partner (child's father), thinking, his name will appear on the b.c. The space was empty, and my partner is accusing me I deleted the information about him on purpose, just to hurt him. Of course it is not true, it was a mistake, but how can I prove it? I don't even think I should deal with such accusations. I brought the papers, so we can correct the birth certificate and even put my partner's last name, but he says I should have done it that time already.
I'm sorry, it was my mistake, we can correct it - he doesn't listen.

Is it legal for an adult child to simply visit the parent and chat when the parent is obviously in need of care and cannot function alone?

By the way - we ARE taking care of grandma - it's her child that's not.. We just want to know if the adult child is culpable (legally responsible) in any way so we can get some help.

My dad is very sick and I don't think he has long to live, since I don't live with him and he isn't really a part of my life I don't really talk about him to people, how do I go about discussing this with my friends? should I even tell them?

My sister is always in my business and she never quits it. Everday it's the same she looks through everything and she's older than me. She tells her fiance things and I'm guessing that her fiance has a big mouth because he is always trying to give me morals about how to run my life. My step-dad just got back home from another country a couple of weeks ago from a 6 year business trip. I haven't seen him since I was 8 years old. Anyways, I'm 14 and I am home schooled. My grandma used to come over to school me but my step-dad has taken her place since he is home off business. but the other day he was sick with a fever and after mom left for work he wanted me to lay down with him. I didn't think much about it and went in there to lay. He asked me to go get a wet rag for him for his fever. I went to the kitchen and got it for him and I came back and put it on his forehead. Then out of nowhere he said its time for a tickle fight, just to let you know im 14 and to old for that kind of stuff. but here is where it gets weird. He started tickleing the side of my hips but he started pulling my bottom into his pelvis area and I felt him squueze my butt kinda when he was tickling me.Should I tell my mom about? I feel unconformable about it but he might of been an accident.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years and we are still very much in love. Recently, my husband was promoted and his company wants to send him overseas. I don't like this one bit. I hated when he went to see his brother and he was only gone a week. We interact all the time and I don't really have any friends. When he leaves, I'm bored out of my mind and I start going crazy. I know going overseas is a major opportunity but how could I convince him to tell his company that he's not able to go overseas. I know it sounds selfish of me but I literally go insane. Also, they give absolutely no advanced warning when they send their people overseas. They book the flight as soon as the person is notified. If they did send him, it'd be atleast 2 weeks before he could return...How should I go about asking him to stay and I don't want to hear that I just need to make friends so I'm not lonely. I simply can't.

My son, almost 19, always carries this tube, like Chapstick, but it smells like Vick's, and is rounded at the end.

He seems to always have it on his desk or with him. I even found it in the wash.

This seems drug related.

Any ideas?

My whole life my mom was on drugs, until three years ago. I was raised by my grandparents almost my whole life. I am 20, I spent my whole life being there for her through all her bullshit--jails, prisons, hospitals, detox--whatever, I accepted all her calls and always wrote her and visited her. Now she is clean and has a boyfriend and a baby. (yeah she had a baby almost two years ago!) And she acts like I am not important to her now. She needed me when she didn't have anyone else, but now she has forgotten about the one person who never forgot her. What do you think I should do and why does she act like this?

I am 22 years old, not living with my parents, just graduated from college. Some decisions that I make or want to make are really hard because my mom makes me feel bad if I don't do what she thinks I should do. I understand that moms know best but I need to make decisions good or bad on my own for once.

Does anyone else have this problem?
And how do you deal with it?

I let my son live with his Dad when he was 8 because he was starting fires and having a hard time adjusting to my divorce.I needed his help.His father made me agree to let him stay with him until he was 12.Thomas is now 13 and he wants to come back here for half the time.He is doing great and grew out of his experiment stage.His dad will not let him come back.I went to court and lost the case.My son even testified.The judge believed lies and my Lawyer was no help.The judge actually gave Tim (Thomas's dad) and his wife more authority over Thomas and I lost time with my son.I have 2 other children that are doing great.I work hard as a single mom to make sure of that.I was portrayed as irrisponsible,ignorent,and incapable of making proper choices for Thomas.Tims wife has taken over as Tom's mom and I am left out.They will absolutly not communicate at any level with me and I am so Mad.Tom hates her.He wants me to call the cops on her.He wants me to ask dad to stick up for himself and him.

I was raised in a ga family my da is gay. I was tease in school, when he came to school the teachers knew and one time the teacher suspended me after she found out about my father...I have never held it against him that him being gay messed me up, but he is now raising his bf's kids same as my brother and I. I see the things they have to deal with and its not right for it to continue like that. They are having problems like I did as a kid. I know you dont judge anyone because of being gay or straight but is it right?
I know this is a touchy subject but being raised in a gay house is hard, anyone have any advice that I could at least give to my step- brother and sister to help ease their pain , I'm only 20 so I'm still learning on how to deal with the pain i went through as a kid, it causes me many problems growing up..so any advice would be great. thank you

my 16 year old sister is sleeping with a 38 year old and lying to my parents about it but they know and are going to the cops about it but she still tries to see him and go against my parents and sneaking around my parents are doing everything that they can to keep them away from each other but its not working so they are doing what they can to put him in jail. she wont listen to anybody when we try to expain to her that he is just using her but she says that he loves her and wants to be with her i try to tell her that she is just getting used but she wont listen to me or anybody for that matter what do i do to get through to her????
