I understand that school is really hard for you right now, but you have to look at in the perspective of your future. School will only last a few more years, but you have the rest of your life to make yourself what you really want to be. Stupid teenagers that tend to make fun of others are really just insecure of themselves. I would try and finish. Maybe if you work extra hard, you can graduate early.

You may feel this way right now, but trust me- these problems will seem small compared to what your life will be like if you drop out of school. First of all, if you don't graduate high school you can guarantee yourself a lifetime full of financial struggle. These days, nobody want to hire somebody without an education except McDonalds. If you drop out, you will be poor for the rest of your life, almost guaranteed.

In addition to this, you will have a very tough time dating anybody because you will not have any money, and most people aren't attracted to quitters who don't have any money. You are young and believe me, most people feel the way you do at some point in life. The people who go on to be happy and succeed are the ones who fight through the tough times and stay strong. Quitters live unhappy lives and end up with a lot of regrets in life.

So to answer your question, "is dropping out good?" HELL NO!!

Life is what you make it but I don't see much good in dropping out. You have issues that need to be dealt with and school is not the problem. You have anger management issues, homophobic issues and you need to learn how to deal.
I wish that there was someone you felt comfortable talking to because sometimes seeing things through someone else's eyes can give you a whole different outlook. If you quit school then what else will you give up on? Your family, children, yourself? These are possible prospects in your future and those don't come easy either but you can't just walk away from it all.
If you would like to deal with this on a one on one basis I am here. Sometimes its easier to talk to someone who doesn't know anything about you so that your guard will let up a bit.
Hang in there and just try to avoid the 'fags' or whatever it is that is stressing you out. Take it easy and stay in school. High school doesn't last forever...unless you make it; keep those grades up and get out of there.

I'm sorry you're going through such a tough time at the moment.

I'd make inquiries about trade apprenticeships in your area. Skilled labourers like carpenters, builders, plumbers, electricians etc are always in demand. Don't get me wrong. Whatever paid employment you gain, personal attributes such as reliability, willingness to learn, punctuality, honesty, respect for your employer and for your ability to work as part of a team are highly desirable qualities.

School is an ideal place to learn these kind of things, and also your parents care about your welfare too! (They love you and want the best for you. Well they, at least, would like it if you leave home eventually, lol!) School education also exposes you to all different learning experiences. I'm teasing you here but have you thought about trying out for the school drama club??

Back to apprenticeships, the starting pay is rather lousy but if you persevere and work hard, tradesmen earn heaps of money. With a trade, you can travel anywhere in the world and earn your keep. Something to think about. You can always enter college or uni as a mature-age student, but that's not a good reason to drop out of school now.

Dude, talk to a counselor, and I know what you are going through and how hard it can be, but I always found something good in relatives, but things are getting a little better now, but it is still hard, but I never got to the point where I felt like I could snap or drop out, because I have a lot of nice people around me and negativity will only make things worse. Dropping out is not the answer, but to help you get through, try keeping to yourself for a while and get on your teachers good side, and you can also find things that you really like, and that will give you something good to look forward to. Dropping out of school is not good because that will make the rest of your life bad, because you will never have success.

Dude do you think anyone cares about your opinions? Alot of people dont like gays, alot of gays dont like anti gays, what does that help you with in the REAL world?? NOTHING!! they dont ask you that for a job interview, they ask about your education and experience, dont worry about what everybody else is doing in their sexual lives or in their own style, worry about yourself. Use your voice and mind to better use and for your OWN benefit, you have to understand that in the real world you're going to encounter people who are homosexuals, you will have to learn to like everybody, because thats the only way things are going to work, go ahead and drop out and get your ged, but dont be surprised to be flipping burgers and taking orders from alot of people that arent going to like you just because you'll be at burger king where youre either a high school student or a high school dropout and they will yell at you about how their orders are messed up and some screwed up kid just like you is going to come in with the i hate everything!!! attitude and call you a fag and what not but you wont be able to do anything because if you dropped that job you would have a hard time getting another one, especially if the see you quit all the time when you cant handle pressure, grow up

No dropping out of school isn't good. It's BAD. Well... ur english teacher was probably only going to talk about gays for one lesson. Life isn't carefree and easy, so if school is stressful then just think about the rest of ur life. It probably will be more stressful then.
If u don't like the school, then ask ur parents if u can go to a different one.

If you drop out of school, you will have a harder time finding a job, and employeers will pay you less because you didn't graduate.

You will be poor all of your life.

Dropouts earn about $18,000 a year.
High School graduates earn about $25,900 a year.
Colledge graduates earn about $45.400 a year.

I know that $18,000 sound like a lot to someone who has never had a job, but once you move out of the house and start paying your own bills, it is barely enough to get by.
