Family - January 2007

I am trying to adopt my stepdaughter. But court costs have already been high with the termination of parental rights of the birth father, and I need the stepparent petition for adoption in Washington state. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction at little or no cost. Thank you!

My Father had a prevoius mariage before he maried my mom and had three kid. Two daughter who where named Corrine and Angilia. Angilia is the oldest and Corrine is the youngest. They have I brother named Brandon in the midle. I would like to find out who my half brother is. Can I track him down?

Okay my Mom told me today that she wants to split up with my Dad!Because for about 2 weeks he has been sitting on the couch doing nothing he has been rude to my mom!Like he has said it was your fault we lost our old house and the first thing he asked her today was did you wash my laundry!And my Mom is getting upset by the way he treats her!So she wanted me to ask should leave him or stay?

There was a family website that one member could start, password it, give that password to other family members and it had a family calendar for posting birthdays, appointments, etc., a fridge door for posting notes on, and a forum, a photo gallery, lotsa stuff like that. Anyone else remember it? Where has it gone? I lost track of it, and haven't been able to find it anywhere.

They moved to another state about 8 weeks ago and now they have been evicted from there apartment.There on a bus back to Florida as we speak.My son is a pot smoker and a heavy drinker.He cant get a job because he has no Diplomia and refuses to stop drinking and smoking pot and ciggeretts.He has a bad temper and has tried to push our family around when he was a teen.We have tried everything from therapy to church jail and Dr's.He refuses to see that we cant take care of him and will not take him and his g/f in.We tried to do that one time for a few weeks and it lasted 10 months!!! If our landlord finds out he has even been here we will be evicted.I hate this because i feel like im suposed to help my children but my husband and i cant stand the drinking and the drugs.We have never used drugs and hubby quit smoking years ago.We dont drink either. We tried to raise our kids to do better.
Are we wrong to close the door? What would you do?

Well me and my siblings were raised by my grandmother and i always wanted to sleep with her.So we had 2 beds in the room my grangmothother my sis an i in one.And my brother in the other i was only8 my sis 5.One night i woke up in the middle of the night wich i do often and look toward the bed my brother was sleeping in and there was a dark skinned man with a long gray breard and he just stared at me.I was so afraid i tried to pinch my grandmother but she would not wake up.Yrs later my aunte told us they had saw something.We finally moved out to a bigger house across the street and it was yrs before anybody ever moved back in that house.And when they did they didn't stay long.

Well I still have a email from last years when my dad died.. *cries* Is that kind of weird to you for me to keep it? Because I don't really have anything from him except for.. uhh.. I don't know only his picutres I think we have one of his sweaters ^_^ and my sister has is necklass.. because he had to wear it because it shows that he has stayed in the hopitall or something..

I have a boyfriend and he lives with one of my mom's best friends of 24 years and her son (I met him through the son).Both of them are like family to me. My bf and I fight a lot. Anyway, my mom comes back to me and tells me that her friend talks about me to her(my mom) and says things like "I'm goin to have talk to (my name) bc she did this and that"as if I AM the problem in the relationship. I never hear that she talked to HIM to see what he did or said wrong to me. So I can't figure out if he's running his mouth to her or she's eavesdropping(sp?) and just makes up a situation in her head that I'm this horrible *****. My question is how can I confront and tell her in a nice way to mind her own damn business?However If I do then she'll know that my mom told me the things she has been saying and it kind of makes my mom look like a snitch right lol.Idk why I think that she is jealous of me for some odd reason she is always correcting me or just plain finding fault w/ me out of nowhere

In choosing a place to live, what would you be more willing to give up and why?

1. Would you give up AWESOME schools (knowing you'd still be close to "good" schools)

2. Would you give up being 30 minutes to 1 hour closer to your friends and family?

3. Would you give up the chance to be minutes away from many great outdoor recreation activities, like hiking, camping, fishing, etc? (In exchange for being 30 minutes away from these things)

4. Would you give up the possibility of NEVER having to move your family again.

5. Or would you give up the opportunity to be minutes away from some of the country's best skiing? (In exchange for living 1 - 2 hours away)

My husband and I have differing opinions about what to give up in choosing a place to settle down. Just wondering what other people think.

My parents are friends with some Chinese students and my parents are having this Chinese student over and his mother. She speaks hardly any English. What do I do? I think it is kinda stupid to have them over when he is the only one that speaks English.

I ditched this teacher class cuz its boring. and she called my mom 3 times. I HATE THIS TEACHER. I've been dating this guy for 2 years and we have a 13 month old boy. I met my boyfriends family when i was 5 months pregnant and everything was cool we got along but when i had Matthias everything changed they started talking about me behind my back to my boyfriend and when i mentioned my family they would roll thier eyes and say mhm. They also complaine about my family seeing matthias more then they do but we go visit them every two weeks and my mom if i'm lucky once a month (my boyfriends parents live closer) so what should i do? I have been putting up with this for over a year now. My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married but i don't think i can marry him with his family not liking me or my family. sorry it's so long.

I want to support him, but I am afraid of what my parents will do if they find out. Dad is very traditional and thinks women should wear the aprons in the home. And mom still thinks of him as her little bambino.

He's planning a big super bowl party and the family is invited and I'm just dreading that he'll whip out his chicken in the middle of the party and people will freak out. Should I talk him out of it and tell him to keep it a secret or will it all come out eventually anyway?

It's like this, I smoke pot/weed/mj/cannabis and I want my parents to know.

Why you ask?
Well, basically, I don't like having to sneak around. At 18 I feel like I should be able to work things out rationally with them, we're all adults in this house at least nominally. They've always been honest with me and we're all on good terms.

Except I know they're against it, which they remind me of whenever I mention something related. I know it's because they care about me I understand, but I also know they did it at my age and understand that it's relatively harmless. I'm in the top 10% of my class graduating this spring, have a 4.1 gpa and will be attending a good college next year. Sometimes I smoke with the class valedictorian I have a job, do extracurriculars etc, I just like to get high on a saturday night to unwind with my friends.

Of course there's no excuse for the fact that it's illegal but I know not to put my self in stupid situations where I could get arrested.

I have had a teddybear since I was 2 hours old. He's white n his name is Roger I have had him for 24 yrs. The poor thing is soooooo old he don't even have stitches for his mouth anymore. I slept with him every night, If I couldn't find him I could not go to bed. I used to take him everywhere. I would stuff him in my backpack when I was in elementary school; he just made me feel safe, and I was only happy when I had him with me. I sometimes pull him off the shelf when I am feeling just a little bit sad to this day n I feel so much better. Especially on those really stressful days...it just lightens the day a bit n I feel like a child all over again...a time when I had no worries.
