Yes. You need to tell your dad and he can take the necessary steps to begin the court process. Unless he is completely unfit a judge should allow it.

As long as your Dad has nothing wrong - besides, if you are 17, you can tell your Mom that you want to be with your Dad, she should realize that you are less that a year from being legal to be on your own and do what you want. She will probably be hurt but wil let you go to your Dad's - as long as he backs you up by saying he wants you. With less than a year to go - don't go to the bother and expense of going to court - theres really no need.

aft her your 13 or so the judge normally would let you choose what you want. you're old enough to make your own decisions. i made mine at 15 and i didn't want to live with neither. I'm living with my grandma and the family because i can't stand my parents. try to tell the truth and tell them both how you are feeling maybe they can bouth work something out. you are 17 and going to turn 18 soon and sometimes the process takes a long time so it might be a waste of time to go to court.

Sure....a judge will let you live with the parent of your choice after the age of 14, no matter what state you live in......unless Dad happens to be a convicted felon, child molester, deviant of any sort, drug abuser, alcoholic or anything along those lines. If you are a boy, I can understand this.....but is something wrong with Mom?

How close are you to being 18? If you leave now will your birthday arrive before your mom can swing a court date or anything? That can take months! If you're 18 by that time they can't touch you.

Probably, unless there is something wrong with him or he doesn't want you to. You are old enough that the judge will listen to you.
(I assume you're not on probation or anything, that might affect matters.)
