The baby would be either A or O.

In order to by have a blood type of A, the person would have an AO combination, that means an A allele and an O allele, or an AA combination, meaning two A alleles. Each parent gives the baby half of their alleles. If each parent is AO, then they could either both give As, both give Os, or one give an A and the other give an O. (O is recessive).

The other blood types are AB, B, and O. The B blood type situation is the same as A. For AB, the means one parent gave A and the other gave B. For type O blood, both parents gave O.

Does that make sense?? I posted a link in sources that you can play with if not.

So, in summary, the "father" isn't the biological father if the baby has AB or B.

And the person that said that just because both parents have blue eyes doesn't mean the child will have blue eyes is mistaken. Blue eyes are recessive, like type O blood. That means that they can only offer their child a blue-eyed allele. So the kid would have blue eyes. Like eye color, blood types don't just come out of nowhere. It's a combination of the alleles from both the mother and the father.

The baby would have the blood type of either the mother or father. If both parents have the same then the baby would have it also. ( A+).

its like this.A is a dominant blood type.O is recessive.O can also be written as 'i'. your genes require two alleles, they can either be homozygous or heterozygous such as AA or ii which are homozygous dominant and recessive respectively or just Ai which is heterozygous. In this case the individual is an A blood type because A is dominant over i. same thing with AA .but in ii ther is no dominant.both are recessive so the blood type is O.
so if both you and your wife are AA and AA resptly then your baby will also have an AA blood group. But if either of you or both of you have Ai blood group then combining Ai + Ai = either AA,Ai or ii which means A blood group in the first two and O blood group in the third. Also AA+Ai=AA or Ai so the baby will have only A blood group.
my parents for example are both A but I'm O which means that both of them were heterozygous Ai and Ai and i got only the ii.my sister is A which means she either got the A from mom and another A from dad,so AA or she could be an Ai ,A from mom and i from dad or vice versa.

Typically the baby will be A+, BUT there is always a chance that the baby could have a completely other blood type as well. Just because mom and dad were both blue eyed does not guarentee blue eyes on the baby.
