Do I ask? Do I say nothing until she verbally says something first? Is it my place to say something, if her father is trying to ignore it?

I believe that a stepchild of mine is trying to tell her father that she is a lesbian, without actually talking to him. The way she dresses (i.e. will only wear men's clothing, "sags" when she does get dressed, leaves the area when phone rings and one of her "girlfriends" is calling, very masculine posture, grooming has become more "frumpy", etc.). She's very withdrawn and seems angry all the time.

I understand that children go through some confusing things during their teenage years. I don't want her to get so withdrawn that she doesn't feel a part of the family. I want her to be able to be herself and feel comfortable in her own home.

It doesn't bother me so much that she may be gay, it's just that we're all pretending that we don't notice her changes.

What are some good ways to meet a guy? My friends are a lot different then me..meaning different taste in guys, different wants and needs, and the type of guy I would want probably would not be found where we go. I work from home..and I really just have no idea where to meet the right one. Any ideas..or where did you and your guy/girl meet?

i'm a 19 year old nanny who attends a local college to become an elm.school teacher. I guess you can call me a girlytomboy who loves to fish, workout, cook/bake , camp but also paint my nails @ the same time.

My Question is this: How do I approach a guy w/out looking like a ****. A nice guy too. (only the jerks seem to approach me)
GUYS!! I'm kinda of a shy girl whose not all flirty flirty but I would like to have a boyfriend who I can do all these things with ya know? I always see guys looking at me and some yell but alot don't come up to me.

I don't like clubs/bars, the mall, or places with big crowds in general and the gym its awkward because i'm all sweaty and stuff from working out so it makes it awkward I think.

All I want is a nice guy who enjoys the same stuff I like to do and who makes me laugh but I AM BEGINNING to lose hope!
It seems like guys are "brainwashed" to be aholes and not nice guys.

Divorced guy (Guy A) of three years says he's 'content with his life as it is', doesn't want to re-marry ("I'm not against marriage, just pro-happiness"), sends his female friends female/relationship bashing jokes and his ex-wife just got remarried. (I believe she left Guy A for Guy B, whom she just married).

Guy A then flip-flops, saying he's not totally against relationships and that he'd consider marriage after being with someone for 3-4 years.

Confused? Bitter? Or just a dumba$$?

Theres this one guy who used to like me, and I dont really care for him cause he's strange. So I kind of "dumped" him. So a couple days ago on the bus, I fell asleep, and he put my hands in warm water, making me pee myself. I wasnt real mad about this, kind of embarassed having to walk around with pee pants. When my dad found out, he called the school, telling them that the boy was a pervert. Should he get in trouble?

Ok.... well i have had this problem for like 4 yrs.... I'm thirteen now and ever since i have been growing up... teens have been making fun of me (preferibbly guys) and now... it feels like i have been scarred for life bc i made a new friend and he is older than i am and i always get depressed or have anxiety attacks when he talks to my bestfriend (who is his girlfriend) i dont know how to overcome this. For instance, when he tells my bestfriend that they need to talk in private then i totally break down and start having cold chills and I get depressed and i dont know what happens. What should i do to overcome this bc when my new friend says he wants to talk in private to my bestfriend im always worried that they r talking about me.... he also tells me that im a great friend and we are practically brothers. I want to be his friend but i dont what to do because i always get depressed/anxiety attacks around him...Please help!

So I have recently found out that my father, who my mom has told me my whole life had died when I was litte, is actually alive somewhere and possibly half way to being brain-dead. I've never known much about him or his side of the family because after my dad's mother made him leave my mom, while she was still pregnant, all ties to him and his family were severed. But aparantly his father, my second grandfather, has been trying to contact us lately... My mom wants nothing to do with them and I feel like I need more answers now that I know some of the actual history to this whole mess. That and the fact that I aparantly have a half sister who looks almost exactly like me? Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? How does anyone deal with something like this after 19 years of lies? Thanks, in advance, to anyone who responds.

I am not happy. I am afraid to feell happiness or joy bc everytime I do something happens to take it away.

My brother is 30 and has a 4 yr old child.. My parents and I have been raising her since before she was 2 years old. He and his wife divorced and she left and he got custody of his child.

The mom is never around and hardly ever calls and he only comes by to b*** about something or yell at my parents or to bum money. He has a job but has NO money saved. he spends it on God knows what.

My whole life I've dealt with his temper and physical fights with my parents and they enable him. They let him get his way.

And I always feel guilty and worry about them and my niece and I am not happy at all.

Everytime I think I can be happy I hear that he pawned his bow again or he wants some more money from dad or he wont pay his bills or he wants the money off the child support card for his own personal use--which i suspect goes to drugs.

If he doesnt get his way it turns violent

My two friends and I usually go to shows and things together but now one of them is always bringing her boyfriend along and I have nothing against either of them but I just really dont want to go with them like that because I always feel like I am in the way or hanging along on their date.

Is it lame to try and go to show's or places myself? I am quite a shy-ish person, is it possible to meet people when going out? Where can I go that I dont feel like a stupid loser by myself?

**Shut up Bianca :P **

I am 19 years old raised in a catholic family. I work as a researcher and I am very career oriented. 10 months back I met a Muslim guy and we decided to go out. He has been very clear that he wants to marry only a muslim girl and I was hoping to accept islam later on as I complete my graduate school and if this relationship work. .He was convicted multiple times upon arriving to canada as a immigrant. and he served some time as well. I was aware of this but with lil details. At first his parents were deciding to go back to Pakistan and he wanted to move in with me to my house near university. I had to tell him I cannot think of moving in together as for now. He made a big issue of this and still we some how patched up.Now the immigration ppl has called him for an interview and he says a marriage will make it safe.he says either i do a paper marriage or he does with some other girl and stay married. i have no idea what are the consequences. I have a gut feeling that this is bad idea.

alright, so im on vacation, at my dads place without my mom. i came out here to see him. the OTHER reason im out here is because i wanted a break from my mom.since about a month before i left which was the 19th, me and my mom ATLEAST got into one fight a day, or a HUGE argument over certain things. So about 2 days before my flight, she took me shopping, she was pissing me off and pulling me over and yelling and sHiTttT which made me madder, so we leave the mall and shes literally screaming ! and i mean screaming ! in the parking lot ! and she threw me to the ground because i was "walking away" which rele i was walking 5 feet in front of her so we get in the car and shes cussing and then before i got out she was leaving with her boyfriend and shes like "bye, i love" and i cut her off and slammed the door in her f ace ! then at the airport she was calling my friends trashy and wHoreSs and im like wtf?so i was yelling at her so when we boarded i walked out on her not saying a dayum thing

He's very lazy and neglectful to me and our children. He's an alchoholic and he smokes. He's obviously bored with family. He lies all the time about stupid little things, so I'm sure there's got to be big stuff too. He's addicted to World of Warcraft.

On the positive...he's never cheated. He brings home a decent paycheck. I enjoy spending time with him when he does choose to, but it's so far and few between.

That's the general idea. Why do I feel like such an idiot for sticking around and hoping things will be OK in the future. For the record, he didn't smoke when we married. He drank, but not daily, and we used to spend lot's of time together. I know he isn't cheating, but I feel like he's bored to death of us and I don't know what to do. Our lives seem to be divided.

Ideas?

My daughter is barely 19 and shacked up with a 32 year old with a kid. My daughter is VERY immature and weeks before she moved in with him she was having tantrums about having to do chores at home. She refuses to have anything to do with me if I can't accept him. My prob is that I have to wonder how screwed up he has to be to see anything in a messed up kid. I have to consider my other kids and their emotional safety also (she is the oldest of 5). My other kids are an autistic 13 year old, 7 year old boy/girl twins and a 3 year old. I worry about what kind of example she is being for them. They so far don't know anything except they were hurt that their older sister wasn't here on Christmas (she preferred to be with her new family). What do I do

Or do you let your hubby be his own man?

In other words, do you TEACH him to associate sexual desire with you and only you? Or do you TRUST him to handle said desire appropriately?

If you're wondering, I'm a husband, and I posted this because... well, let's just say this question is based on a female's answer to one of my questions. Interesting, indeed.

My partner and I would like to get married. We are sensitive people and prefer the company of our close friends, as we find others, particularly my family, pushy and try to pigeonhole our lifestyle as we can sometimes think "outside the square". This is irritating for us as we find their remarks can be ignorant, insulting and lack respect.

Our families have been pestering us about getting married, but we would like to do this in our own time, in own way. We would like it to be a small quiet affair with the friends we trust and no big fuss made. The problem is my family would never forgive me for excluding them from a ceremony, even to the point of my mother yelling at me and my partners parents would be disappointed as well.

Arranging and attending big events gives me anxiety, having had a nervous break down 4 years ago I am careful about what I take on. It is easier just not to get married. What should we do? It sounds crazy but we are both in our mid fourties.

ok here it goes. my mother in law is a very opinionated woman and we have known each other for a long time so I know how to talk to her. Her other son's girlfriend ran into some problems at home and she had to move in with her. She lives rent free pays no bills, no groceries no nothing. And I know how hard it must be living with your bf's mom while still in High school. but she acts like such a rude b*tch to her sometimes i just want to smack her. How can you be rude to someone who provides a roof over your head? And her son sees no problem with her attitude. She sleeps all day and never wants to babysit or wash dishes or clean without asking her a million times. My husband has said things to them but still no change what can I do to help defend my mother in law without making a lot of problems?

My boyfriend and I were great friends for two years. About two months ago we admitted to eachother that we had fallen in love with eachother so have been in a great relationship since then. We are 2.5 hours away so we visit. The thing is sometimes he says things like "our kids will...." and then say "i mean if we have kids they will...."....we neither one have kids now.....is he implying that he thinks we have a future together or am i reading too much into it? Thanks

My friend is getting a house in the spring...(fyi; we're still in school) and he was very careful in telling me that it's going to be an open house and that whenever i need to get away and crash, the door will always be open.

I don't have a problem with sleeping over at his house. he's more of a gentlemen than anyone else you will meet these days...(no seriously, a guy tried to grab my butt and my buddy smacked him across the face whispered something in his ear and i never heard from that creep again). he's like my protector.

why would people (like my family) freak out at me for sleeping at his house? I don't understand.

Hey guys.. I have a bf.. and I have close guy friends.. I express myself by being friendly and telling people that I love them when they are close to me. The term obviously holds a different meaning when I say it to diff ppl.. but my bf seems to get jealous that I am saying this to my guy friends. He says that it hurts him because love is a strong word an should not be used so loosely. He is not a controlling guy, he treats me very well. This is about the only thing we butt heads on. He told me that he would never ask me to end these friendships but to have respect for him. I don't completely agree because I care about my friends and I know that there is no potential between me and these ppl. I think he is a tad threatened because some of these guys do have a bit of a thing for me but I would never let them act on it. I would end the friendship asap. Please help me. He feels SO strongly about this.
