My two friends and I usually go to shows and things together but now one of them is always bringing her boyfriend along and I have nothing against either of them but I just really dont want to go with them like that because I always feel like I am in the way or hanging along on their date.

Is it lame to try and go to show's or places myself? I am quite a shy-ish person, is it possible to meet people when going out? Where can I go that I dont feel like a stupid loser by myself?

It's very normal to me. I enjoy going places solo. Still I meet new people and able to leave when I get ready. Foremost, you don't have to worry about anyone telling your business.

It's perfectly fine going out to places by yourself. (I'm shy too, but I prefer not going out with friends.)

Of course you can meet people when you go out. Like, if you see a cute guy or something working at McD's, order something and comment on the weather or anything.

Even little chats can improve you self esteem. You may be shy, but don't act like you're dumb. (You'll be suprised on how stupid people act.) And especially if you're going out with other people, even best friends, you actually change a little. So if you go out by yourself, try and see how differently you hold yourself or how differently you think when you're by yourself, and when you're with your friends. You'll be suprised.

Basically, if you're alone, you'll generally feel like a stupid loser by yourself. So don't think about that, and just observe people around you. It is quite fun.

But go to a cafe or a bookstore. Pet stores are cool too... LOL.

There is nothing wrong with going out by yourself. Just be careful that you do not get hurt. Females, by themselves, can become targets of crime, so be very cautious. On the up side, you may meet some new friends to hang with.

There is nothing lame about doing things by yourself. You can go to all the places that you go to with people.

Not at all. It's nice to have some time for yourself to enjoy things without considering others. Enjoy that moment.

Yes.

And besides, I bought us tickets: front row, centre.

And only 3.
