My boyfriend and I were great friends for two years. About two months ago we admitted to eachother that we had fallen in love with eachother so have been in a great relationship since then. We are 2.5 hours away so we visit. The thing is sometimes he says things like "our kids will...." and then say "i mean if we have kids they will...."....we neither one have kids now.....is he implying that he thinks we have a future together or am i reading too much into it? Thanks

He is happy with you. He can easily see spending his life with you! Do not try to over analyze your relationship!

You are still getting used to the new level of your relationship, but you have a solid basis in friendship, so sit back and enjoy the ride!!

Good luck and happiness

You two have been such great friends for 2 years. Now you two are official in a relationship. You know each other good, maybe he is wanting to be with you in the distant future, and thinking about opportunities and possibilities of a committed relationship that could be a long term commitment. I would be glad that he wants kids in the future, with someone as special as you are to him. Take your time though in the relationship aspect, it is new, but you've known each other for 2 years. Who knows what the future will hold for both of you. I wish you well.

Alot of guys when implying phrases such as that, have developed a close relationship with you. He can see you in his future, or he sees only you in his future. Which can be a great thing knowing that a guy has let his guard down for you.

I've said that before, but meant it differently on different occasions. Sometimes its just sarcastic, and meant to be funny. Other times it was a legit slip up. It all depends on the context of the conversation, and what exactly he said. But if he didnt want kids everrrrr with you, then he would keep the K word to himself.

It sounds like he has thought ahead to a future with you where you have children together. That is a great sign if you also see a future with him. It doesn't mean that he wants to have children tomorrow but means that he is serious in his feelings towards you and his hopes for your future together. Congratulations :)

hey theres no problem with that! he just thinking ahead. hey if its something you don't like about that then tell him. don't let him keep saying it. also this is also now is a good time to really get to know the guy! remember ask as your hearts desire. ask more questions take your time. hopefully its a really enjoyable time. no matter what happens in the end you'll at least know if you dumped a wierdo or not. hey good luck and take care.

That definitely sounds like he believes in a future with you.
Having kids is a serious responsibility and commitment.
I really don't see why any man would lead you on about that.

On the other hand, you could always ask him if he thinks you two have a broad future.

He may be implying a future. But he may also be implying hitting it and running. He may just want that tag, dad. Better make sure he has a good job. Or that you have an understanding family.

um.... i think it does imply that he is thinking of a future with you. I mean, when he corrects himself, he still is assuming that you two will be in a possition to decision if YOU TWO wants kids or not (i.e. marriage or committed relationship for some people). I mean, "our kids" seems pretty obvious to me... unless he just likes to throw phrases like that around or he's joking

Sounds like to me that he's interested in having a future with you and that's his way of testing the water with you.
